Am I now smelling a whiff off anti-Garde on here? People, we are in talks of having an actual, proper football manager in charge for once. Have we forgotten we were all ready to appoint the tea lady just to see the back of Pardew? Come to papa, Garde.
-
I hope he knows he won't have a garde-blanche with signings, unfortunately.
-
Very good I can't wait until he starts dedicating wins to the chairman.
-
Akinfenwa Peroni
-
I'd give anything to hear how he'd pronounce 'Ayoze Perez.'
-
Was written off when the teamsheet was announced at Filbert Street.
-
Without doubt Surely Joe Kinnear will take credit for Perez.
-
I didnt, i clearly put a warning ahead of it first Fuck you, man.

Why did you make us read this?!

That banner, man. I want a copy printed and hung in my living room.

People keep talking about Mourinho's parking the bus all the time, but that's more of a technique than a sole direction of his pieces. A means to an end where he knows exactly when to strike and withhold depending on his opponent's weaknesses. Sometimes it doesn't work, but his silverware cabinet shows it works most of the time, and is no one-trick-pony kinda stuff.

I don't know, I can kinda understand, tbh. I'm 99.9% of the time self-deprecatory about Newcastle around my mates, but all of them have learned that if their top-4-supporting-candy-asses ever stepped outta line and said anything bad about our club, I'll go all Joe Kinnear on them in a second. Something about loving something enough to make fun of it, but at the end of the day, it's still yours.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/73/Winners_Dont_Use_Drugs.png Not even sure what this means? I think the implication is you were on drugs when you made that post or have diminished cognitive abilities due to sustained drug use over the years. Thanks, I haven't. Just thought other opinions may be valued. Be nice if a different opinion on this site didn't draw abuse but discussion instead. That's the thing: the issue was discussed to death and collectively, the majority of us, moved onto a more logical, rational place, together. It's like civil rights or gay marriage. If you don't participate in the public dialogue when the struggle is actually going on, and then come by swinging your dick 2 years after saying "oh hoy hoy, what's all this gay marriage malarkey? marriage is between man and woman! why can't we just discuss this?" People will laugh you out of town. That's what you're doing right now.

This is very terrible. Its got the lot. The holy trinity: deluded, Leeds and pitiful acceptance of fans not having any say whatsoever. Genius. It needed a Portsmouth for a full house but not a bad effort. B+ Long time lurker and even longer fan but i agree with these points. Why does any fan think they can change MA? And tbh - why would they? Simple question - what do you guys want? I agree ambition in the cups would be my no.1 but aside from that i would rather him as an owner than 90% of the other owners. I'd love ambition but realistically there is a limited amount of people who can spend unlimited money on players these days - Man Utd try to win the title and spend £150mill or so and are still no-where near. Football has lost its soul and we aren't the only fans suffering. PS - my choice for manager - still Steve Mac. Top coach and will get the best out of our youngsters which is the one thing i still enjoy most. You should go back to lurking.

Did you not see him in Miami for England's pre-tournament friendly, he looked like he had heat stroke, dripping with sweat and holding an imaginary microphone. http://metrouk2.files.wordpress.com/2014/06/hoddle.jpg

Think he was a twat in a previous life. Very good
-
Hoddle looks crazy in his recent photos. What's happened to his skin?
-
My issue with giving the gig on a temporary basis to anyone, especially an outsider (e.g. Hoddle), is that a couple of wins and both he and Ashley will be thinking "this is good enough..." and will give him a Pardew contract of hooplicks and peanuts for the next 8 years. This is a possibility, and it's terrifying. I'd rather keep Carva in until end of season and hope he keeps us up.

Ancelotti is loved by almost every player, and is seen as some sort of grandfather, in almost an SBR vein. I think this alone goes a long way in bringing him success and getting the best out of his players. No surprise he's doing well at Madrid as they needed someone older, calmer, who garnered respect in the dressing room, after the volatile, divisive nature of Mourinho (who I admire as well for the opposite reasons, almost).
