Wish they'd come with an audible boo when one scrolls to such comments, to fully appropriate the force of 6 massive dislikes.
-
Does that -6 mean 6 people have disliked that comment?

I was hoping and waiting for that but clearly the man has shown some tact in his departure. I'm sure how he acted post-Arsenal-bid weighed on his mind, so he just kept his mouth shut.
-
At himself, I hope. Of course not. He's never to blame. Silly. Well I hope he really laid into Benny and Marv, those lazy fuckers.

At himself, I hope.

I think he's already left mentally. Not starting games when everyone is fit and no chance of getting into the French squad for the WC. Pardclue has broken him everyone.
-
And how much of this is down to management? How many creative players have regressed under this clown? Or needlessly benched? Cabaye is the only one who bucked that trend, and Pardew did his best to flog him every time he was on camera.
-
With HBA and Marv on the bench, only Remy can really score goals for us. Who's gonna provide him the service, or balls for Shola to expertly knockdown? Oh right, Sammy. Who usually gets taken off even when he's playing well. I just have no faith anymore, sorry lads.
-
Done more than Shola.

I doubt we're gonna finish 8th or 9th, to be honest. Looking at our recent form, I'd snap someone's hands off if they offered me that.

Yeahhhh, Brett. No. Rob Lee was mopping the floors under Gullit if I recall. Usually when such measures are taken without a glaring, public indiscipline from the player's side, it's a dodgy, shady tactic, usually resulting from a strange personal vendetta from the manager's side.

This. This, this and this is all. SBR's philosophy in a nutshell. Beat the shit out of whomever you can beat the shit out of, die trying to beat the top guns. That's literally the only mentality you need to have in ANY sport, and football, as SBR said famously, is a simple game.
-
Why?! Love this thread. We're not allowed to follow the fortunes of our former loves? It's like stalking the ex on Facebook
-
Yep, Man City looked far too scared, and in essence looked beaten at kickoff. If they'd only attacked and pressed Barca things would've been different.
-
Wow, coz I think you've played wank. Are you not watching? 10 men, yes they've kept the ball. Shite upfront for a supposed attacking team. Man City could barely get the ball when they had 11 men. I really wonder sometimes about the lucidity of some football watchers.

We should have saved some recordings of half-time teamtalks during his days here, and should just leave them playing on a loop and keep Pardew away at HT from our players. Man, whatever the players take away from that will be 1000x better than the shite they would come out with under the current plonk. The names of players wouldn't matter as SBR was never one to bother with names anyway, everyone just knew who he was referring to.

I'm glad the club and its owners hold journalism to such a high regard. What's the bastion with which we can judge other news organizations? Football Direct News, it's called now?

I think Bimpy's bang on: we're not certain at all that a loss to Villa will send this cunt packing, so why inflict pain on yourself, the players, the team, the fans, and lose a chance to build some confidence and momentum for the remaining games? I'm all for us losing to Villa if it guarantees him the sack, but most of us are resigned to seeing him turn up week after week, no matter the result. Frankly, we have no idea what it will take to see him sacked. How many games do we need to cheer the opposing team for? At what number of games does it start feeling gross? We've already only won 1 home game in the last 8
-
I long for the day we have an owner who hires someone that matters currently in the game to take this club genuinely forward, that's the only way to a better future. Everton snagging Martinez still hurts like hell, when you see them playing without fear. Sigh.

It's really, really getting on my nerves now: had an all-out argument with the guy who sits in the next cubicle at work, a Liverpool fan. He constantly acts astonished whenever I say anything remotely negative about Pardew (which is every single time footie comes up as a subject, so quite frequently), and this past week he's been doing somersaults and all sorts of mental gymnastics to absolve this fuck of any blame. "It's Ashley, he has no say in transfers, it's the lazy French players he got shoved with, he's had injuries..." the list goes on and on. What's really impressive is that he's the SECOND person I know who supports another club (another one of my mates is a Chelsea fan who does the same thing) who vehemently goes out of their way to defend Pardew. It's mindboggling. The neutral fan fucking loves this guy

Haha! Just put in a trademark dirty tackle, opposition player KO'd, from the looks of it.

49:57 Goal scored Goal! Paris Saint Germain 2, Valenciennes 0. Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Paris Saint Germain) right footed shot from the centre of the box to the top right corner. Assisted by Yohan Cabaye. Oh well, au revoir, you beaut.
-
Abramovich and Mourinho are made for each other, the former prefers a winner, the latter a sugar daddy who can make it happen. Wenger is about as far from the quick-fix the Chelsea owner has always wanted.

Looks like here HBA was dropped in favour of both Ryan Taylor and Obertan: http://www.nufc.co.uk/page/Match/Report/0,,10278~2600843,00.html Could be wrong, as I don't remember an injury, but the match report above says he was dropped.

Short, selective memories, Ronaldo? Quick google search: Ronaldo: It must be a case of recurring problems relating to effort or failure to conform to instructions in training, whereby rewarding him with starts sets a bad example to the rest of the squad. It clearly goes beyond the type of player he is, or the dreadful performances at Brighton and Blackburn. Ryan: --- Quote from: Jayson on Friday 24 February 2012, 09:13:29 AM --- --- Quote from: Ryan on Friday 24 February 2012, 09:08:15 AM ---It pee's me off that Ryan Taylor starts above Ben Arfa because everyone knows who the superior player is, my main gripe though is how the f*ck is Obertan second choice ahead of Ben Arfa. He's had about 20 games this season and performed in maybe 2 or 3. Ben Arfa's played around 10 games this season and has created our best chances in most of them games. He then has a couple of poorer games against Brighton (Still created our best chance for Simpson) and Blackburn and gets dropped back down to third choice with Obertan back in ahead of him --- End quote --- We're not having issues scoring goals though. We do however look weak defensively when we're put under pressure. So it makes sense to give up Barfa pot attacking ability in place of a player who is less likely to try the extravagant and lose the ball. As annoying as people may find that. He may waste opportunitys at times Obertan, but he doesnt often lose possession. --- End quote --- http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php?topic=91227.4305;wap2
