We definitely seem to have had no luck since the takeover. Not even a little bit. Right from the unexpected timing of the takeover going through, to Bruce being kept on, to terrible refereeing decisions, Howe’s Covid, Darlow, Clark. I’m not a believer, but this is gypsy curse territory

Even if we were 0-1 down 9 mins in, it’s totally recoverable. Being one man down for 80+ mins is shooting off your foot because you have a slight muscle twitch.

Looks like most on the forum were right on not playing Clark. It just makes no sense. Second game in a row now we’ve been let down by players who shouldn’t be anywhere near the starting lineup.

Definitely Darlow to blame for the first goal, but not having a proper fullback caused the free header for second goal, and id argue the acres of space afforded for the first goal as well. We also keep losing the ball in the middle far too easily.

Happy to see Schar back in the lineup. But no DM worries me, visions of a porous and non-existent midfield from Bruce era are hard to shake off, and that was when we were starting Hayden. It feels pretty naked now in the middle. Let’s hope I’m wrong. Howay the lads!

Reading back my post, it may come across as I’m just being uber negative and attacking the owners. I am not, I am still ecstatic as fuck that Ashley is gone, and I’ve begun watching our (still dreadful) games with a lot more attention. And I don’t think it’s a lost cause already, the owners can take all the time in the world, for me. Even if we get relegated, as long as they stick around for the rebuild, I would be happy as fuck.

In business, not making a decision is as real a decision as any other. Keeping Bruce around for that long and now Jones has deepened the rot, affected the positive rush of the takeover, and it clearly has had an impact on the players. Would hiring a new manager right away have given the players the wake up call they much need? Who knows, but the uplift in mood when the takeover went through was such that a clean break would’ve truly given us the best chance of a fresh start, on the playing field and off. Not saying we still wouldn’t be in the same position in the league table, but momentum in sports, business and life is a monumental driver of change, and we let it slip away.

fuck, if we equalize, or even the 2-3 score line, will have the Bruce lovers leaking pre-cum. I’m still in the Ashley-era-wanting-us-to-fuck-up-so-we-can-change-manager mode. I don’t know how i’ll shake this habit off.
