  1. Odds on him becoming caretaker, then fulltime manager at some point under Ashley? Imagine local (welsh) hero taking the helm.
  2. Epic trolling. Hayden wanted to leave NUFC last January for a smaller club down south. Felt Rafa didn’t praised him (when playing well). Hayden did an interview explaining his situation with his family as to why he wanted to leave. Also rafa and the club tried to allow him more time off. Yes I know. But at that time Hayden felt the PRL was ”too tough” and wanted to leave for a club down south (the Championship). He also felt he didn’t got any support or praise from Rafa. This is the first time I’m hearing this. It was due to his daughter and her condition. At least, that was the last I read about it. I’ve assumed he’s come to terms with not being able to find a suitable club down south and make the best of it here.

He and Shelvey are gonna get along like a cous-cous on fire.

    This guy is truly something.
  5. Chronicle reporting today how things will be better now we don't have this. Thank Christ we're rid of a manager who won't stomach being misled and lied to and who works morning, noon and night for the betterment of the club. Just read that Ronniegill article - Jesus wept Gandhi & MLK were also history’s biggest moaners. People just need to stop making things difficult for those in power and just spread their cheeks wide.
  6. Going from Rafa throwing a strop every press conference during the transfer window, saying he doesn’t know what’s going on and stressing the importance of doing things the “right way,” to this clown having his first meeting 15 days in and crowing about not being a puppet, with a growing injury list.
  7. Maybe you don't understand how Twitter works. When you quote tweet someone (like Al did Chops) and post an opposite statement, you're dunking on them.
  8. I think we can close this thread as we’ve all decided: it’s nay.
  9. I was angry there were some who wanted us to sign McManaman in one of the transfer windows, or we were linked with him or something. Never forgive.
  10. They weren’t hampered by Rafa’s dogshit medical team or the pox on Bruce’s home.
  11. Yep, they’re fabulous in cricket. No doubt the same can and will happen for football. I’d much rather have an intelligent woman than some past-it old drunk warbling on about all sorts of shite, which describes 50% of male commentators in football.

The way Ashley went about it in his quotes that he’s ready to front the money from his wallet made it sound as if he was being stopped, by Rafa, from signing the next Ronaldo. All of it smells funny.
  13. Yes, I agree. This then leads to the problem of never really knowing how good these players could have been, which is a big problem. We've had a lot of talent come and go through the club despite the policy for signing players. I understand Luuk wasn't good for us, but when we continuously see the same narrative of all these guys not being able to kick the ball or finish simple chances for so many of these guys I think it really points out how glaring the issues at this club are. It's one thing if they weren't quite good enough, but they all end up barely looking like footballers and are thus completely written off. That is crazy. Even someone like Joselu under Rafa had his moments and made a bit of a contribution here and there despite not being that great, with some now joking that we should bring him back. As if he'd be anything near the same under Bruce. Fair points. I do wonder how much of an impact our abject policy and management has on the confidence and application of skills from these signings: you can tune into a satellite and watch Luuk’s shot still trickling towards the goal line from that chance he had at SJP. How do these guys end up looking barely like professional footballers?
  14. This narrative is getting stretched to absurd levels now. Waiting for the “Rivière was also actually good” post in 3, 2, 1... Luuk De Jong looked terrible for us. The issue is not even these individual players but the fact that we keep signing the wrong type of players for the setup we have. So I halfway agree with you guys. It matters not what these players end up doing after they leave us, it’s that we don’t have a cohesive vision or plan for how the team should play — only Rafa had this.

You're straw-manning the f*** out of this to make an argument like, there's no love in and nobody is saying Mitrovic isn't appalling infront of goal. You're just talking relentless s****. Mitrovic was s**** all in all in his first season, he shouldn't have been our main striker and his lack of cutting edge cost us points. He still looked better than Joselu. Stumbled on some comments in the Mitro thread Can't believe the similarities to what is being said about yet another young striker we currently have that has not been put in a great position. This club is so rubbish at the minute man Kaka kicking up old beefs in 2020. Bring it on, son!
  16. We need to rename this thread the “fucking manager comparison thread pls lock.”
  17. Where’s Brucey’s hero El-Mohammady these days? I think he’s moved with him everywhere he’s gone, can’t wait to see him lace up for us.
  18. Pro PFM journalists follow the National Inquirer / red top approach to selecting photos of Rafa & foreign managers: make them look psychotic or mental, while adding a glowing halo around their PFM’s.
  19. A part of me thinks all of those rumours were a way to keep Rafa and his supporters in check, to avoid protests, etc. But with a colluding patsy in the dugout now, why go through the charade? Especially when the real fans left with Rafa, and we have the Perez-booers lapping up everything served to them, where's the incentive to even pretend they care now?

This clip man It’s like it’s a football based comedy like The Office, and Bruce a Gervais type character.
  21. Looking forward to Pardjoow rocking upto SJP with a fake Dutch accent a la McClaren & Joey Barton.

My issue is that he reminds me of Lee Hendrie (in hair, looks and stature) and comes across as a bit of a cunt, but he’s undoubtedly talented.
  23. I despair. The line of least resistance has been broken and replaced by subordination. 'Accept Ashley'? 'Support Bruce'? The end of NUFC, as we knew and truly loved it, is here. With 50,000 supporters like you there is simply no point. I can only hope that one day - perhaps many years from now - you will experience the extraordinary joys and ecstasy of what a true owner and great manager can and will achieve. As I have done several times in my long and eventful life. Until then accept dross, because that is what you have just advocated. You deserve it......... I have experienced the joys under Keegan and Sir Bob. Owners good but left the books in a mess. Advocating dross or not, the outcome will be the same as there is too many factors in Ashley's favour. The money made from TV and sponsorship means even an empty stadium would have little difference. I still think the team will come good. Money being spent on the likes of Almiron and Joelinton should continue if we stay up. I just hope we get better value. Buddy, have you forgotten how Rafa was treated in consecutive windows? Have you seen our net spend compared to every other team, including newly promoted ones?
