It's actually weird how perfect it's been for most normal working hours. Almost like the Russians checked with us first. Heading to Japan this weekend, kickoffs between 11pm and 3am

Daily Mail aside, I thought Sterling caused them some problems but he really has to stop losing the ball as much. He was head down running into a group of 4-5 players on a regular basis, not necessarily in dangerous areas either. Alli was also ineffective and Young offered very little. Thought Henderson offered more going forward after Dier came on than either Alli or Young which is saying a lot. Edit: Just saw the replay of the Pickford save at the end of the match

Ball has to be in play. Knew it must be something obvious

Is a foul in the box not a penalty like or am I being slow?

  7. Big difference between saying they're nothing to fear and that we're guaranteed to turn them over.

He obviously can't come out and say he wasn't playing to win but I honestly don't think he cared about the result either way - lose and get an easier draw, win and his 2nd string have probably given him something to think about.

I live abroad, this is the first game trying to get ITV to work, it's absolute AIDS on every platform.

Maguire looks a long way off international class.

Probably should have saved that for a slightly bigger game
  14. ???? This is what drives me mad with Jonathan Pearce. He sounds like he's written out elegant prose for various situations in the game and you can literally hear his jizz his pants on air when one of them happens so he can compare the deftness of Messi's touch to a warm summer's breeze whilst gazing out across the channel.
  15. I think it the long run it'll make the game more exciting - corners and free kicks become a different proposition when 90% of the players aren't being held down when the ball is in the air.

Missing chances but that means we're creating chances, nerves will settle.
  17. The club is earning more money that almost any other club in the world with the premiership TV money. Why can't we afford to buy a few new players every year?
  18. If he lets/forces Rafa to walk it'll be like Crouch letting Abi Clancey leave him because he was too lazy to pork her. Do what's required as an owner for your world-class manager to not fucking leave man, it's not hard.
  19. knows there is no ambition in the ownership of the club. He said after winning titles and cups all his career he didn't come here just to finish mid-table. He wants to win stuff and he expects the owner to match that ambition. Doesn't trust Ashley one jot, and he's not going to extend his contract unless he gets backed properly this time round. I think up until this point, he felt like he had a point to prove. Now it feels like a juncture where if he doesn't get what he wants and walks away no-one will blame him.

    Paul Dummett

I do get the criticisms about limited defenders, but as long as he can pass 10 yards to someone with better distribution it's hardly the end of the world.
