Can only hope the FA had their fingers burnt with listening to the media with Allardyce and have appointed the only man more boring than James Milner as a middle finger response.
What was that game he publically came out and announced we needed to keep it tight for 70 minutes and hope for a bit of magic after that only to have them promptly score on minute 69 or something?
I remember drafting a post hinting Carr might be on the take for the amount of dodgy signings that came and went without playing but thought it was a bad idea, I guess it's open season now!
That's nonsense. How can he possibly be an awful signing based on what was a very decent 45 minutes!?
Because none of his managers deemed him good enough to play?
What did you make of his performance against Everton?
I'm not in charge of deciding whether he's good enough to play so it's irrelevant.

Aye, I've only seen it once live and I thought he got the ball.
Judging by the rest of the comments, I think I am wrong!
Thought he nicked it on first viewing, but he was just a bit late:

He was well and truly sussed out by the newcastle fans, he'd never risk bruising his ego by coming back.

Think the agents and the media have a larger part in this than is mentioned there. So many young (especially English) decent youngsters get hyped up as the next big thing, make a big money move too early, then their career flounders.
