Who are we playing first game of the season again? Bear in mind that since we beat them at their place in January (hughton and calderwood in charge) they have lost their most important asset (Mowbray) and their only player capable of scoring goals (Fortune). Plus we had an absolutely rank team out that day, check it out. I'm not saying we will beat them, but to think we're nailed on to lose is mental.

Nah, she's well out of my league, I've got a very disappointing face. I don't really have that much against Becks per se, I just find the hero worship of him in this country (as a whole rather than any specific poster on here) quite cringeworthy. I also don't understand why he's not come in for any criticism regarding his behaviour towards his club side that he chose to sign for. Seems like he gets a seperate set of rules applied to him.

One of the few I'd be disappointed to see go. He's phenomenal in the air, not sure he's got the all round game to go all the way but I'd like to see him develop.

Agree with the rest but thought I'd expand on this, as when we went down he seemingly wanted to stick around and get us back up; it was only a week or two later that his arse fell out and he bottled it. He must have been completely clueless as to what the Championship is, most likely Shearer explaining it all to him was what made him give up (again).

Fact is Beckham has treated that club like absolute dirt, and pocketed a shedload of money in the process. If he wants to play for a good club he should have thought about that rather than only thinking about the moolah when making his decision. Yeah, can't argue with that... if he doesn't want to be there he should keep it to himself really. In his defence, seems like he's always done alright for them on the pitch, and he didn't go AWOL like some players when they don't want to play for a club. Don't think he's actually done much wrong, except be honest enough to say he'd like to stay at Milan. Didn't he extend his loan with Milan to miss the start of the season in the US? Also I'm pretty sure they've gone well downhill since he got there, presumably not his fault though. If I was a Galaxy fan I'd be absolutely fuming with the man, I know he is bigger than the club but you can't put up with that sort of behaviour. He's shown about as much loyalty to them as he did to his wife when Rebecca Loos came calling.

No - he's better. And thats saying nothing for petulant prima donna Beckham. At least Owen didn't piss off on loan whenever he felt like it. Beckham's a much better player but has treated the Galaxy far worse than Owen ever treated us imo.

No chance, Beckham is twice the player at 34 than Owen was during his time here. He also puts in 100% efforrt EVERY time he steps onto the field, something we didn't see from Owen most of the time. He also fucks off and plays in a different league when he can't be bothered with them, that's how little regard he holds the club in. Far more comtempt for the club than Owen ever had for us. If he doesn't want to play for them he shouldn't have fucking signed for them, he had plenty of money as it was.

I can see why the American fans would boo him. He clearly couldn't give a fuck about the club, is only there to pick up a fair few dollers and is doing all he can to avoid actually playing for them. Less professional than our own little Micky.

With Shola in this sort of form we're pretty much nailed on for promotion anyway, don't panic.
