  1. He hasn't lately tbh. He's been very quiet wheras manager such as Hodgson and Bruce have openly talked about there transfer targets without a care in the world. I won't lie, I've not followed the prem that much lately; can't be arsed with SSN anymore. I saw him talking about Crouch the other day so assumed it was more of the same from January, could well be wrong. Don't have a clue what Roy and Stevie have been up to.
  2. Harry confirms interest in 10-15 players per day though. Who knows which one he will actually sign.
  3. We do - mainly due to the fact there IS bias. I'm not sure what he's done is in the same league as what Joey did and has done.
  4. The best player in the world going to the biggest club in the world for a world record fee isn't the biggest shock in the world though, even if the fee is too much.

    RIP sale thread.

He's hoping they can't read his poker face.
  6. Now don't get me wrong, Gerrard's a twat and deserves all the stick he gets for this. But surely he shouldn't be going to prison for this? A fight in a pub in Liverpool with no real injuries to speak of? If it wasn't Gerrard I'd be amazed it had even got this far tbh.
  7. Most teams score 7 against Darlington in a pre-season friendly played on a Saturday. Just surprising they scored a couple in reply. Only if Sholagol plays for them. Stop trying to boast about your pathetic pre-season, we've ripped it up and yous know it. We're going to get so many points next year they'll carry some of them over. edit: and I notice you couldn't reply to the second part of my post Real Madrid have got like another 6 weeks before they start their league program, Newcastle start in less than 3 weeks, so I'm not surprised you're more advanced than Real tbh. I think he might have been joking, still doesn't take much to wind a Spuds fan up, as usual. I made him admit we're better than Real Madrid at this point in time...pretty pleased with the morning's work. I said Newcastle were more advanced, not better.................. tomato tomayto
  8. No-one wants Shola to put a transfer request in, keep up ffs. Obviously I'd far, far prefer it if Habib stayed, but I'd also rather he put in a transfer request than engineered a move away and kept a loyalty bonus (hypothetical, not saying he's actually doing this).

    Isn't it...

I love it. I wouldn't be looking forward to next season so much if I didn't. It's wicked. I ain't letting no fat cunt spoil my fun.
  10. I fuck my hand on a regular basis.

  12. Course they won't, they are all money grabbing bastards; none of them would do the right thing. They should though since they are not even worth 10% of their wages. That's mental though. If you or I went into work with a hangover and got nothing done we wouldn't offer to give up some of your money. Just because they're not worth what they're paid doesn't give them any obligation to return the money. If you went for a hangover for a year (which is what they've done) you'd be sacked And any properly run business would have clauses in your contract which enabled them to get rid of you if you rolled in with a year-long hangover. I hope mine doesn't
  13. Geremi seems a decent shout actually.

  15. That would never be expected and is a ridiculous suggestion. I know the club's in turmoil atm but I'd have more respect for a lot of them who want out if they actually put their money where there mouth is and put in transfer requests. I know it may not be possible atm but I'd be amazed if any of them actually do it when the time comes.

They have an £80 million player, we have Ameobi True, it's no surprise we're more advanced than Real. We also had Ranger playing, it's not really a fair comparison.
  17. Yup - he's going to try his arse off next season, he'll get the supply and he'll score goals. We're going to hate it but people need to get used to it and move on. He was a disastrous signing for us, you cannot build a side around Michael Owen and if a club like us pay £17 million then it needs to be for someone who you can build around. It was a case of wrong player, wrong club. Ridiculous decision to make him captain, he is quite clearly not a leader and never will be. His faults were on full view at the end but the club is not blameless IMO. Every word spot on. I think the most important factor for Owen is that he will be happy at his club and with the prospect of being closer to home (his real home). That was never the case here from the first day to the last and that's the only reason very few up here have taken to him. A bad deal all round. Liverpool fans never really took to him either, not to the extent you'd expect given how important he was to the side. It's because Owen never engaged emotionally with the club or the fans, only with Michael Owen's career. So what you're trying to say is that he's always been a selfish cunt?

  19. Probably saving the number 9 for him iyam. Ho hum. Guess it'd be kinda nice having a local lad with the number 9 like. Wonder when the last time was that happened... was Chris Waddle ever a number 9? Sholagol will get it.
  20. Haven't scored fucking 7 in a game yet have you? Or beaten a team by a noticably bigger margin than Real Madrid could manage? I think we know who the winners are here.
  21. I'd still make Arsenal favourites to come 4th, and there isn't a chance of any of the other three dropping down imo. City, Everton, Villa and Spurs all depending on a number of circumstances have the potential to be in the mix (probably that order in terms of likelihood) but it's going to be tough. Having said that I think Arsenal will miss Adebayor more than their fans seem to. He gets slated for missing a lot of chances, being lazy etc. but he was the only one at that club who could score 30 goals over a season.
