NUFC is gone so they need somebody else to be the "deluded club that thinks they should be in the top 6" for them. Tottenham Hotspur.
-
Yes, loads, but once again everyone is choosing not to post about it.
-
Who is disputing that? We're on about wages here. I'm better at my job than loads of my seniors at work but they get more money than me, it's just the way of the world. So is spending all day on here rather than working your protest about this?
-
I would say Stevie but not enough swearing...

Doesn't binnsy (seemingly the one person who has a believable opinion on the reserves / youths) say that Baheng's rubbish and not up to it, even at reserve level? Looked decent when I've seen him and I can't remember him saying that but I could be wrong. Just as likely I'm wrong tbf (it isn't - I'm just being nice). Could have sworn he said Danquah and Baheng were holding the team back, could be thinking of someone else mind.
-
Better still if we had shown faith in a few of them we probably wouldn't be here right now. Seen many of them play have you?

Everyone was guilty to differing extents.

I can think of a team that did it in August of last year...

No offence, but you just made that all up didn't you? We have no idea what is happening, for all we know the club could be just working out the details of Shearer's deal/demands. This is a big decision, it's only been a couple of days, give them a chance FFS. No offence, but mind your neb. I'm saying what I think is happening going off past preformances by the GOONS in charge. Sorry but they DO have previous. I just believe in criticising people for things they've actually done, rather than stuff that exists only in my imagination. Yeah we have last season to go off as an example. KK pissed around with these c***s for 3 days before conceding he couldn't get through to them what makes you think this is any different? Well yeah, I'm not saying they didn't do things wrong before, so fair enough criticise them for that. There was claim and counter-claim with KK as well, we still don't know who was really at fault. All I'm saying is don't slag them off for f***ing things up with Shearer when nothing has happened yet. Edit - as for your second reply, feel free to slag them off as much as possible for us getting relegated, that would fall into the 'things that have actually happened' category. I just don't see why you have to find extra things to have a go at the club for, when in reality they might just as well announce Shearer as manager in the next few days. Never had a pot shot at the club, i'm having a go at the owner and his clems. It reads like you're having a go at the club. What are "clems" - is that a mackem expression ? I do believe i mentioned Ashley and his goons a couple of times and though it was clear who i was having a pop at. If you cant tell the difference between ashley and the club then maybe you need to question why your support of NUFC. As for clems, are you a man? If so you have two between your legs in a ball sack. Unless your going through the change, if so you need to change your user name to Benwell Lass. Don't worry about it, mate. Some don't want to hear criticism of the jokers who got the club into this mess so they're making stuff up, it's nowt but daft spin. As you say, it's obvious from your posts you're not slagging off the club, the suggestion you are is ridiculous. It's obvious who you're having a pop at and it's more than justified. Cheers Good to see you back HTL

There was a thread on here about it, search for "Local Club" or something similar, might turn up. edit: http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,57668.0.html

Nah man, I reckon you missed out. Man U are an absolutely awesome side, let's not forget that. People will say they didn't show up last night, but it's mostly because Barca didn't let them. As good a display from an individual side as you'll ever see, truly magnificent it was. I saw the first half tbf and it did look like men against boys. I'd still take Anthony and his lovely Johnsons over the second half any day

Quality. Genuinely quite excited about next season already, I'm sure it'll be sapped somehow. Who or what is a JCL?
-
Both of Andy Carroll's headed goals for the club were preceded by a shocking headed miss beforehand. The one against Stoke wasn't that easy, looked well over him and I was amazed he managed to direct it as close to goal as he did.
-
Judging by this thread my decision not to watch this match was fully vindicated. I've seen enough of us this season to know what a team getting their arse handed to them looks like.
-
He came through their youth didn't he? Also, was it not rumoured SPurs were sniffing around Ranger in Jan? Sure I remember whisperings of £1m being mooted. edit: without quoting your other post as well, I'm pretty sure he was a second half sub for the u19s and hit the post near the end in a 0-0. Could be wrong mind.

I had the feeling Man U as an attacking force struggled at times this season. More so than last season surprisingly. Tevez and Rooney were sensational with their interplay at times last year, that goal against M'boro at home was out of this world. They've looked far more functional with the likes of Park and Fletcher running themselves into the ground, but they've still produced some devestating counter-attacking football. Obviously there was the other key difference in that Ronaldo didn't score with every touch this season.

He's just another cog in a brutally efficient (and brilliant) machine now. He's been superb at his job this season, arguably their best player, but it has been to the detriment of some of the joy in his football.
-
Sports Direct have just posted some cracking figures, and I think the share price is well over double its lowest ebb at the moment.
-
Quite correct, don't have the link either, but IIRC, saying how the Rooney at Everton, although rough around the edges, was actually exciting to watch and defenders feared him. I simply don't see the same Rooney at Man Utd. He's been restrained, perhaps for a more well rounded longer career or whatever, but I no longer think "blimey this lad's gonna do something special" when he's on the ball - a characteristic that was associated with him 2 or 3 years ago. that reminded me of how he played at euro 2004. we've lost THAT player for good now. he's still world class on his day, though his "days" are less frequent that others. Became the most exciting player in the world at that tournament.
-
Quoting this as several people seem to have missed it... Also it's funny.
-
It's too difficult to predict who will stay and who we'll be able to hold on to. It will come down to who has other clubs interested in signing them as much as who wants to leave and who we want out.
-
Head says Bruce, heart says Shearer. I think I'd be more excited about next season if we went into it with Shearer in charge, which isn't to say he'd necessarily do a better job.
-
I think Man U'll win this but I don't really care. Off out to see Anthony and the Johnsons instead of watching it.
