What do you mean by a top 6 club? I'm not having a dig, just genuinely don't really know what people mean when they say that. Is it just the fanbase? Fanbase, history, stadium, etc. We are a top 6 club in terms of stature, if not the team and our position. Stadium and fanbase yeah, our history isn't that special though. It's not bad, but there can't be many alive who can remember us winning the league and we've only won one tin of any note in the last 50 years. What do your expectations of us being a top 6 club include? Do we have to finish top 6 every year?

Thank fuck for that. I think I'd have preferred it if JFK had realised he was complete toss.

mid-table at best? The team is mid-table at best, the club ain't. This is a top 6 club. What's so wrong about that? Newcastle is a top 6 club, the team isn't but the club most certainly is and its about time we started acting like one. What do you mean by a top 6 club? I don't think it is acceptable. I just think it's crushingly inevitable.

Stuck a tenner on them at half time At least I laid it up, still £25 missing though, fuck off Fulham!
-
What was the score at half time? (I had Fulham HT, Chelsea FT. £3 on 9/1) Put it this way, that's good betting.
-
VERY good point. I doubt it. Its only a feeding frenzy if Newcastle are involved - it's hide the evidence if it's Manu/Liverpool. No-where near as bad as the Dyer/Bowyer incident by all accounts.

I heard a few rounds of "there's only one Bobby Robson" going, and loud too. Sorry he had to witness our performance though. The fans I thought were brilliant, every time they scored we cheered our team and every time they tried to cheer on their own side we drowned them out. No booing during the game or mass walkouts, just lots of support if not for the shower of shite on the pitch then the badge. Best part of the game was when 'You'll never walk alone' got booed to fuck. Brilliant.

Precedent Batty or Dyer? Alright, recent precedent. It does seem unfair that both of ours got sent off though! Does violent conduct specify who it has to be aimed towards to warrant a red card? No, it doesn't. Could be aimed at opponent/teammate/referee/spectator. In the African Nations semi final a few years back a bloke was sent off for violent conduct towards a physio. That was absolutely hilarious, one of the funniest things I've ever seen in football

What if you slap your own head after you miss? Is that violent conduct? Yep, straight red. I don't fucking know

Fucking outrageous. A lot of the media seems to have declared him our player of the season so far as well, absolutely scandalous.

They were saying it was Abdoulaye Faye on Soccer Saturday. Just what I heard on 5live, reckoned fights were breaking out all over the pitch between Stokies
-
Where are those odds? I reckon we're a decent bet there.

Fuller sent off for fighting Griffin

Liverpool had one disallowed as well tbf. Also we only scored that disallowed goal because their defence stopped tracking Owen once the flag went up I disagree actually. Not that I think it would have changed the result, but the match might have been slightly different.
-
You know what, that may well be the most intelligent post you've ever made.
-
I reckon the problem is that he doesn't defend well enough. Not saying he was the only one today btw.

I'm not excited about this, but it seems to be the best realistic thing that could happen at this point in time. He needs to live or die by his actions over the next 8 months and prove that he's serious about doing this. I feel as though I need to give him a second chance as there doesn't seem to be anyone else I'd realistically rather give a 1st chance to.
-
Fucking awful, again.
-
City? Who else would put in a huge bid? It must be about £15m, as tosspot says, he paid £9m for him a year ago and he can only have enhanced his reputation since then.

If Xisco's dad was manager I'm sure he'd have had more chances. possibly wrong but i'm sure gullit gave dalglish more games kenny did. Probably right. I've tried to forget his time at the club.
