  1. He's started about 10 premiership games in his career and played well in about 5 of them. Getting ahead of yourself there.
  2. Genuine question HTT, what is it about these clubs that make you think differently? 'Cause I'd say they're basically in the same boat in what they've done. Surprised you say good luck and that Bolton have done well, but Fulham don't get that praise when since coming back up, they've probably done considerably more than Bolton. Fulham have done it off the back of a sugar daddy though. Pretty sure they owe Al-Fayed >£100m.
  3. Crouch and Barry aren't good enough. We'll still win. Hopefully with Johnson (A) or Young scoring first to win me a few pretty pennies.
  4. Top notch. Looks the real deal so far.
  5. You must be joking. I even feel that way about most of our games, however much on edge I am.
  6. Do you think Nolan would find that space in and around the area if he was playing on the wing? Probably, he'd be fucking knackered so he'd tuck inside and find a bit of cheeky space despite his massive girth.
  7. Nolan is bound to, he's playing centrally. Come off it, Nolan is pretty good at finding space in and around the area, I'm not sure I can remember Jonas doing it once in his two and a bit years. He must have cut inside once or twice!
  8. If you were to combine the best of both you would only use Nolans goals and shots, other than that he's behind Jonas at everything except when it comes to giving away free kicks. True, but Jonas is properly wank at shooting. He really should practice it at some point, it's embarrassing. edit: not quite true, Nolan is also much better at finding space in and around the area which is pretty much crucial when it comes to scoring.
  9. Given that one defender headed one into his own net from outside the six yard box I'd question whether this is entirely true. If Krul had come off his line we could point a bigger finger. For that corner? Krul didn't have a great game by any means but it's stretching it massively to blame that one on him. There's no way that header should have gone in.
  10. It's a tough decision with Nolan vs. Jonas if we're to keep this formation. One has literally no end product and the other one has nothing but end product. If we could somehow magically combine their best bits we might have one decent player there.

  12. Are you joking? The relatively few times I've seen Busquets he's looked nowhere near the level required by Spain or Barcelona. That said he may be hindered in my eyes by being one of the biggest cheating twats I've ever seen.
  13. Spurs unlucky as shot is saved? Why's that unlucky?
  14. Beye and Faye were both very good for us too. Also he got £8m for Dyer.
  15. I'm looking forward to this. If we can win away at Chelsea with a reserve team we should be looking for somewhere between 8 and 10 nil. Will be good for the goal difference.
  16. Does anybody know why Portsmouth didn't get a points deduction this season given that it made no difference last year? I can't think of any other club that have been treated like this.
  17. Just the ball and chain.
  18. I guess you couldn't battle against the name of Wembley, but you should have kept NT games on the road like we do it in Spain. It works wonders to bring the team and raise support around the country and prevents it from becoming "Madrid's NT". Pretty sure 80% of games were at Old Trafford when that happened though. In principle I agree if it actually moves around the country and gives all areas a few games. I do like the idea of having a national stadium though, and Wembley is probably the most famous ground in the world. Shame it cost so much so that every game has to be played there though. Some of the poorer games against the shite teams should still go round the regions with Wembley hosting the glamour ties IMO. No doubt all of team GBs games in the Olympics will be at Wembley n all. Definitely the problem, if they'd managed to build it for a normal cost it would be great to have moved a few games around, even if it is just the shit ones. Shame the U21s don't get a better attendance, they play everywhere. Kicking off at 4pm ain't going to help their cause. Don't know how much it costs but i can't imagine too many would be willing to pay much to go and watch them. I went to one (at Wembley as it happens, when it had just opened) against Portugal and it was only a tenner on the door. Only 20,000-odd there though, even at 7pm on a Friday.
