  1. Fucking great celebration, he must have been getting piss take about not having scored for a fair old while. Brilliant reaction.
  2. Much improved over the last few months, fair play. I still think there are noticeably better options available to us for next season but I've accepted he'll be in charge and I'm starting to warm to the idea.
  3. £10 us to win -1 at 2.33 £20 us to win at 1.72 £3.03 Lovenkrands to score first at 6.2 Fucking come on.
  4. A masterstroke. Fucking hell. I bet it had no impact on any other result.
  5. Juve, Liverpool and Real. £5.
  6. I can see why the Plymouth fans wouldn't like him though, he was a complete cock-end the way he treated the club.
  7. His performance in the premiership last season. Are a few matches lost as caretaker in an untenable situation with demoralized players sufficient to deem him unsuitable for Premiership management for all eternity? No. It's a decent bit of evidence he probably isn't good enough though, I was answering your post. The situation wasn't ideal but he was much worse than Kinnear. So in your opinion Kinnear would have achieved equal or better than Hughton if he were in charge this season? No. You seem to be having some sort of problem with either reading or understanding my posts. To be fair, I'd have an easier time if your position made any sense in the first place. It's pretty simple, check my posts. If you're still having trouble I'm happy to summarise it.

  10. Cuntish of McCunty. If they stay up it won't be because of this, regardless of fines etc. it was just a stupid thing to do. Insulting to the fans.
  11. I concur. edit: you ever done this with your missus? I found it a bit weird
  12. His performance in the premiership last season.
  13. 1) It was a trumpet 2) Kenny D signed him Fucking hell interpol.
  14. Reading through this again...almost had a spasm at this one. At first I was thinking who's that fat girl that Jonas has passed it to...then I started to wonder about the keeper. Fucking brilliant.
  15. The only bad thing about Baba's effort is that all I can think about is how technically superior to mine it is. Makes me feel sick, I was trying to make mine good until I lost my temper and went for stupid rather than good. I have to say the Peacock one is simultaneously brilliantly created and also probably made me laugh more than any other post in the thread. Superb.
  16. Yeah, he is, although I really don't like him. Could he work with Ashley? Nobody knows. We know Hughton can, and that's worth something. Good point. Not sure there are many who would work with Ashley, Hughton may well be the best realistic option.
  17. Despite what I've said above I'm massively behind Hughton, I just fear that he isn't up to it in the long run. Overall he's done a fucking brilliant job this season though.
  18. It's a fair shout but we aren't seriously going to bomb out Hughton if we get promotion, in the real world that just doesn't happen. At the moment we don't even know Hughton's capabilities. For all we know he might go on to be one of the shrewdest managers in English football. Hughes would be a good choice otherwise though. I cannot believe that some of you are praising the bloke to the high heavens and then commenting on replacing him in December. Some of you are even calling him mnot a proper manager. In my opinion, Chris Hughton deserves a medal as big as a frying pan for what he has achieved, both on and off the park for this club over the past 12 months. You might want to look back to the days after Keegan walked out in a strop. How many so called managers were allegedly approached to take on one of the most difficult jobs in football with no money to spend? Yeah, I reckon Kinnear was 40th choice. And in the summer, our only option was a bloke who worked on a week by week contract under tthe most severe pressure and yet has bonded the players, the management team, even the fans together with a season beyond anyone elses expectations. Yeah, lets tell him how great he is now, but we can plan for his failure by December!!!!!!!!! Feck me. Give the bloke a decent chance for gods sake. Just as a reminder, cast your mind back to 1992 when the lord god almighty cannot do anything wrong, I am so wonderful Kevein Keegan was appointed. How many years management experience did he have? Chris Hughton will never be another Keegan playing style wise but I believe he has the potential to be another David Moyes type and that can only be good for NUFC. WELL DONE CHRIS...................BIG FECKIN TIME. I admire a lot of the sentiment, but there are a huge number of flaws in the logic. I agree Hughton has done a fantastic job thus far, I still don't think he won't be good enough as a top flight boss. I certainly hope I'm wrong though, not least because he seems a cracking bloke, but mainly because he's 100% guaranteed to have the job once he's taken us up. The logic is mental. Keegan walked out in a strop...why did the 39 ahead of Kinnear not want the job then? Because Ashley's an utter cunt to work for and no-one worth their salt would have worked for him at that time. I think Hughes would be a superb appointment based mainly on his work for Blackburn but it's all a pipe dream as he won't be appointed. Don't get me wrong, if Hughton did the job for us that Moyes has done for Everton I'd probably walk around with a constant erection for the next 3 years, I'm desperate for him to do well but I don't think he's got the ability - it's the same with a fair few of the playing staff and in every case I hope I'm wrong and they turn out brilliant next season. I just think it's unrealistic to expect everyone who's done a good job in this league to do well in the PL next season (touch wood..) and that includes the manager.
  19. there were a few, not many. maybe cos many went for more seemingly realistic appointments. however once the rumour was out the clamour was on. I never got that impression from reading the boards, it was only once it was confirmed that people got excited. Having said that I don't live in Newcastle so I've got little to no basis for saying how 'the supporters' felt about it
  20. Over 43% thought we'd finish in the top 2 on Toontastic.... http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?showtopic=24453&st=0 I predicted that we'd walk it and win the first 12 on the bounce. http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?s=&showtopic=24445&view=findpost&p=630298 Was there a similar poll on here? Was the outlook more negative. I stuck a tenner on us to win the league at 6/1 on Skybet Can't remember how much I actually thought we would and how much was blind optimism mind, I'm a big one for the blind optimism where possible.
  21. Grant was threatening to play his reserves for the rest of the season, saving them for the cup and their summer transfer. Would that be ok too?
