  1. I've only seen the result but it definitely seems like Hughton fucked up
  2. I wouldn't hold out too much hope on collecting on that scorecast... Isn't that what it's called when you bet on final score and last scorer? Ah if that's what you bet on you should be fine...it usually means first goalscorer and final score here.
  3. The penalty sounded a weird one. Ref didn't give anything, it was the linesman who flagged. Worst commentary I've ever heard, he was describing it for about 20 seconds before he mentioned it was a penalty that had been given. As he said it was Carroll I thought it might be on the halfway line or something and he was just whinging about double standards. I was so pissed off I was genuinely blaming Lowes for us giving away a penalty, I was raging with him. The fucker
  4. You give all the credit to the defence and totally disregard the fact that Hughton opted for a 4-5-1 in a lot of those games? How come? Smith is clearly going to have to be in there without fail. He's not great but I dunno ... maybe that goofy scowl actually gets to some of the opposition. Away from home if we do play a 4-4-2 Nolan can under no circumstances be one of the two. If Nolan plays then it has to be a 4-5-1. Otherwise I'm not sure it will matter who is in our back four to be honest with you. but in those games we've been gradually getting worse, our performances for a couple of months have been pointing to this result. It's definitely been coming. Makes you wonder why everyone's so shocked. I think the game on friday got us all giddy again.

  6. Well, we did throw away wins in two, and fail against 10 men in the other TBH Is every game you don't win having been ahead thrown away? Do you think we should be winning every game we play? It's certainly the impression you'd get from reading your posts; being disappointed is one thing but you seem outraged whenever we don't win, as if it simply isn't good enough and we should have won. Is it so wrong to expect a team who has just beaten a so-called rival for promotion 5-1 to turn up away to the team in 18th? Sadly, the problem we have, is that we are shit, and papered over the cracks for weeks with scraped wins - then we started turning those wins into draws...hopefully those draws won't start turning into defeats or we're fucked. I'd expect us to put up a fight at the very least and we did in the second half until the penalty. Given that everyone seemingly 'knows' how shit we are anyway I can't believe the amount of disbelief on here when we don't win. I think a lot of people have deluded themselves as to their expectations and somewhere inside think we should be winning every game because of who we are and the names on the teamsheet. I can't think of any other reason.
  7. I try not to log on when we're losing, it's mostly unreadable. From what I've heard we were on top in the second half until the penalty, even the third goal seemed a bit of a bolt from the blue. f***ing hell, we can't win every game, we aren't the Harlem Globetrotters ffs. I know some people go to the extreme but for those that are genuinely moaning, does the 'we're not going to win every game' mean we can't criticise? Don't mind criticism at all. What I mind is the people who are so outraged we don't win it comes across as if they feel we have some sort of divine right to win and anything less than a victory is unacceptable. No-one would admit to feeling like that but fuck me that exact sentiment comes across in a hell of a lot of posts.

  10. I'll probably put on a first gs bet once I know the teams. Might have a punt on Williamson, he's a right big fucker.
  11. Smith will come in, it's guaranteed. Given that he will, I'd rather he came in for Nolan than anyone, but I've got a horrible feeling he'll drop a winger or a striker for him. If we stay 442 Loven could well come in for Best and I've got a feeling he'll want to save Colo for the Swansea game if he isn't 100%.
  12. £11 on Man City and Fulham wins £17 or so. £10 on Us, Leicester and Cardiff wins £47.50. I was very tempted to bet on West Brom but I'm so keen on them not winning that I didn't.
  13. I'd take him. Probably our best realistic option. Did a great job at Blackburn, his transfer record there was superb. I think he'd be perfect for us if we went up.
  14. First win for a while. I was starting to get a bit worried about the project, we're back at £125 now.
  15. I went for that too, Beckham scraped in as he still seems to offer something a bit different to everyone else when he comes on. Would never start him but an excellent impact sub if needed. I've only seen him for England in the last two years mind, no idea what he's been like at club level. Could do with a bit more pace mind. Walcott and Young both tempted me but seem to not be the players they were 1-2 years ago at the moment.
  16. Forest away and Plymouth in the league to name two. just goes to show how shit my memory is. was it from the start in place of jonas or as sub? He started both of those, don't think Jonas started either although he did come on against Forest (don't know if he was recovering for an injury or whatever). Bizarrely Lovenkrands was on the LW in a 4-5-1 at home to Plymouth iirc.
  17. Forest away and Plymouth in the league to name two.
  18. We played Wales in qulifying for the World Cup in 2006 I think. Pretty sure N. Ireland were in that group too (and beat us).
  19. Birmingham/Chelsea double. £10 will win about £25.
  20. Roeder didn't learn from his mistakes, I hope Hughton can and we'll find out soon enough. Yep. By all accounts pretty much spot on last night, hopefully he'll keep it up.
