    NUFC Songbook

If we're talking good songs, here's one that Blackburn sing, fucking genius it is. Wish we could make them like this: Chris Samba is a big black man, Get past him if you fucking can, Try and do a trick and he'll make you look a dick, Samba! Black Man!
  2. Because their long-suffering fans are really knowledgeable about football. So they keep telling us - and so do the rags, remember. Along with - they "deserve success" apparently, because they've been so successful in the past Gratifying, the number of people beginning to say the same things I've been saying for years....there's still the.....er...usual suspects trying (increasingly frantically, amusingly) to convince the rest of us that it aint so. Well said, by the way, O.C.K. ! Who do you mean by that? People in the press? People on the board?
  3. I always rated Nedum Onuoha at Citeh, doesn't seem to be getting a look in there so might be worth a punt when we go back up.
  4. I would imagine it'll be his decision and he'll be given until the last minute to make it.
  5. Someone who can score goals. If only we'd had a player like that in our run in last year, might have made the difference. Good job we made money on someone who wasn't good for team spirit though.
  6. Depends whether you count Rafa as one of them.
  7. 19.5 @ betfair. Decent odds like cant find the market on bet365 now, anyone work out a link for me? http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/relegation Doesn't look like they have a market. Try ringing them.
  8. Last season was their best in the league for nigh on 20 years.
  9. We know you're just being silly dj, if you'll watch Serie A you'll watch anything. Serie A has more technique than the Premier League, and I don't just mean the top four, I mean in terms of the entire division. Shame the Italians can't even be bothered to watch it. There are numerous reasons for why crowds are low. Bigger numbers doesn't equate to a better league. What are they? Serious question btw, I've got no idea. I was under the impression it was dirt cheap in Italy too. The biggest problem Imo, is the rise of Fan violence and Ultra's. Because they don't limit their stupidity to outside the ground like say English hooligans it puts people off, you wouldn't take your child to a game to get potentially hurt by some idiot Lazio Ultras when you can just catch the highlights on TV, saving money in the process. I mean to be honest, Inter and Milan still get average attendances just below the 60k mark, so to say no one watches is wrong, Juve get 22,000 but their ground actually only holds 25 which isnt' so bad. Napolo get around 40, Roma 35, so that's just it . I mean I think a lot of the time you look at say Stoke their attendances were half what they are now in CCC so that's a huge spate of what we would call band wagon jumpers, that traditionally doesn't happen in Italy, you pick your team and you stay with them. Tickets aren't as cheap as you'd expect, and the whole Calciopoly scandal soured it for a lot of people , it's almost like why go to a game where there's potential that one team wins before a balls been kicked, which is a bad attitude really but understandable. Plus the whole TV coverage has become really over saturated, so like I said with crowd violence issue, why travel hundreds of miles to watch a game you can see on TV, a few on here (self included) have sacked games off because of TV coverage. But the reason attendances have been down for some reason is because, you've had teams with much smaller fanbases in the top flight, like Boro in the top flight, Chievo, Empoli and Siena are all prime examples of such clubs, who rarely go over 10k . So why don't Italy have the horrific reputation for hooliganism that England had in the 80s? In terms of bandwagon jumpers you mention with Stoke, I don't think that's exactly the case, more that people just can't be bothered with going to the matches in a lower league whereas they're happy to pay for top flight football. It's easy to forget just how expensive English football is (even a non-league game you won't get much change from a tenner) and the attendances are superb imo. Is Italy like Spain in that there are never many away fans then?
  10. Because their long-suffering fans are really knowledgeable about football. Cottee was going on earlier that he felt sorry for their fans. Are you fucking kidding me? Why? They're 7th in the fucking league, your own team is bust and looking like it might go down you complete jizzcock. Piss kidney. Arsehole! Clean, clear and insulting.
  11. If he hadn't dived before getting there he would have got it too imo. Still a foul.

  15. 93. I nearly typed Coppinger but thought he'd never played so I stopped. Forgot Milner
  16. Inclined to think that was a pen...if Lucas hadn't dived before he'd got there he might have won one.
  17. The one thing he's getting stick for and rightly so is his transfer record. He's bought some utter dross, and their squad pales in comparison with their rivals. I agree. But can they really call ManU rivals? They've barely competed with them in the league for 20-odd years. Finished about Chelsea once since Abramovich and generally much worse. Last season was their best in my living memory, shouldn't that buy him more than half a season? Oh I agree btw don't get me wrong, I think the reaction to his situation is way over the top. If any fans feel they have a divine right....not that I'd dream of going down that road obviously

  19. £8 on Stoke in play at 3.8 after seeing Liverpool's team. Will lay up if Stoke go ahead. Also £3 on Forest, Barcelona, Real and Inter, just because I'm bored. Wins £20.
  20. Benitez getting some slightly harsh flack imo, shit as they are at the moment. In his time at Liverpool they've won the CL, League Cup, FA Cup and a CL final. they even challenged for the league last season, only time I can actually remember them doing that in my lifetime (I'm 23). How much do the Liverpool fans expect? Or is it OK for them to get on their manager's back after half a poor season whereas it's fickle for anyone else to do it?
  21. Just say what you're betting on, it takes me fucking ages to work out what's happening on those slips.
  22. We haven't a striker as good as any of the three that left. Our best defender and best right back left. Our midfield was the worst in the league last year. We need to add a lot of fucking players.
