Was Shearer a genius out of curiosity? He was [skirge]fkn[/skirge] fantastic at what he did, and aye he was smart but wouldn't really call him a footballing genius. Depends how you define genius. He got every ounce out of his talent in his body on to the pitch and then some. Brilliant technique too.

Unfortunately, yes Better than being on sky.

Agree It's good regardless imo. Even better if it starts something though. Conning a referee into giving a penalty could be considered as a different offence to failing to con a referee into giving a penalty.

Interesting that, my mate who's a Rovers fan thought Simpson was dreadful. Not seen him play at RB yet due to holidays so can't comment myself, thought he did OK in the middle against Leicester though.
-
It isn't Le Havre though. The bigger clubs should have to pay adequate compensation mind, bit of a joke at the moment.

Same as Yorkie but with Guthrie predominantly wider than Barton. Don't think he's got as good an engine as Barton, but his delivery from wide areas is better.

I think this is imposed by FIFA whereas Platini is UEFA. If ManU aren't found guilty of the same crime they won't be banned - by the looks of it Roma argued it down to a one-window ban so I wouldn't be surprised if that is the outcome.

Sale is more likely to be done on 666 tbh.

Disappointing that they're not going to look at it going forward, but I'm still pleased Eduardo got banned. I'd rather one person got punished for it than no-one. Still 2 game ban for a yellow card offence is quite harsh considering its highly unlikely its consistently punished Yeah, probably. Still, he shouldn't have cheated. I'm more in favour of cheats getting punished than I am upset with the inconsistency.

would love it if man city got a punishment like this for that Given that it isn't the same crime, that's pretty unlikely.

Vote Tory I take it?
-
Doubt it. We'll probably do the same. We'll probably do worse to be honest, at least they won't sell anyone.
-
We'll do better than Chelsea.

You'd be fuming if a home game you were going to got moved such that you couldn't make it anymore. Still, so long as it doesn't affect you... Yeah and you'd be happy if these matches weren't on Sky Sports despite people who are unable to go no longer being able to see it, still as long as it doesn't affect you... I'd be happy if SKY weren't moving our matches away from the weekend for no reason. Being able to see a game on TV/the internet isn't that big a deal, you can always get highlights on BBC Sport website and there's always radio coverage.

Vermaelen is ridiculously unproven and for you to put him on that pedestal after three games puts your idiocy on the scale of fools at those useless UK papers. Last year this time, Zaki was the second coming of Shearer. Now he plays for Zamalek again. The boy may be great, but why don't you let it happen before you go announcing it. I have seen nothing in Johan's career to sugggest he is better than Jageilka, Distin, or Yobo. Vermaelen is quality and better than the three Everton centre backs you've jsut named imo. He reads the game so well and wins much more in the air than he should do. Got voted the best singing of the season by 2/3 of the pundits on 5live last night aswell. How many games?

Good for you.

Why would they be? Anyone broken their contract to sign for them? This isn't a case of tapping up that Chelsea are being reported for. I'm surprised their lawyers let it happen. Was a joke, I know no one signrd for S[uds broke thier contract,, he does like to tapup/unsettle transfer targets though. He's definitely a cuntnob, don't get me wrong.

Pure speculation and no substance.

What's that got to do with contract breaking?
-
The club will pay it though.
-
Yep, we need to go up at all costs. We'll worry about the premiership if/when we get there. Ideally we'd be signing players now who would also be good enough if we go up, but we've got to be realistic given the shambles of a situation at the club.

What a bunch of cunts for wanting fair money for players they've developed and English clubs have been able to pick up on the cheap due to differing youth contract law in this country.
