3 of those are youngsters with the chance to develop into good players, one is a hopeless cause. I wouldn't say Xisco's a hopeless cause yet mind.

Indeed. He has no ability on the ball whatsoever. One good header against Stoke and people start becoming very forgetful. This. Great finish against West Ham too, and as I said bullied Hangeland in the air which very few players did all season. He's not great but he's got attributes that could benefit us if he's used properly.

I disagree. You don't get that rich without being thorough and doing your homework. You can get pretty fucking rich and still be head mental though, seemingly.
-
We couldn't keep Martins on his package. Huge package apparently.
-
If you think we're going down get some money on it. You seem to be a fan of betting against your team
-
But usually better than that.

If anyone thinks any owner can afford to keep Obafemi Martins on our books as a Championship club - then they're mad. Perhaps, but how much will another relegation cost. It's becoming more inevitable every day Clearly fishing tonight Ronny, you can do better than that.

Shame, I'll miss Beye. Probably the only player who's looked as though he's given a shit every time he's pulled on the shirt over the last 24 months. Also our best player over that spell.

Carroll would be my favourite who is here atm to get it. Would really galvanise him before the start of the season. he's absolutely hopless man I disagree. Not the best but excellent in the air. Two fantastic headed goals and caused Hangeland massive problems in the air against Fulham including almost setting up a goal. so what? People talk about that like it was George Weah's wondergoal. Just because he's tall and wears a shirt two sizes too big people think he's really strong, he isn't. With his touch, he isn't good enough to play the linking role and doesn't read the game well enough to be a consistant goal threat I watched Leeds several times last season at Elland Road, that defence is their to be slaughtered by so called physical strikers. The had him wrapped up pretty much all night. We need 2 strikers now Done enough to warrant being an impact sub imo. I don't understand why you said "so what". He may never be a premiership striker but he'll be a handful on a few occasions this season. Can see him developing into a poor man's Duncan Ferguson.

I salute your reference good sir.

Sholaface will be number 9. You all know it.

Shambolic that Smith gets the armband. I know it's only a friendly, but fuck me.
-
It's amazing how quickly Robert fell from grace. He was very poor in his last 6 months for us, only lasted 6 atrocious months at Pompey and then went on a mental journeyman tour for a while.

Eboue and Traore. Not in the same class. Nowhere near.

HP? SSN Looking at Bassong and Delph apparently. That was David Craig's supposition based on newspaper rumour...probably your most reliable source yet.
-
Midfield looking very weak imo. Need a proper holding midfielder at the very least (although Song looks good). Massive reliance on the full backs with that system, injuries to Sagna and Clichy would be a disaster.
-
He's learnt a lot from van Persie already I see.

Newcastle have a history of greedy lazy egotistical disloyal b*st*rds who are off like a shot and suddenly discover at their new club, they're not as well treat, or as "big" as they thought they were. A good example of that was Bernard. Or Dyer. Making excuses for disloyalty like above is something supporters of top clubs don't do. Thats why we are constantly in the dead zone, and those who do NOT accept it AREN'T. The reason we're constantly in the dead zone is because some supporters make excuses for disloyalty?
-
Good first team, thin squad. Injuries to two of Fab, VP and Arshavin and it suddenly looks a hell of a lot weaker.
-
Not that I would ever accuse you of being deliberately contrary, but it's pretty obvious what he means by 'loyal' in this case.
-
95% of professional footballers don't really give a shit about the club they represent. Of those that do care you've probably only got about 10% who would be prepared to take a pay cut under any circumstances (assuming they could find another club).
-
Bloke from uni who's a carlisle fan said he was the best keeper they've ever had. Now I'm sure there isn't a great deal of competition (apart from Jimmy Glass) but that's hardly 'not pulling up trees'.

Which is one of the many reason I refuse to accept the "poor Hughton" crap. No-one claims Hughton is any good though. I feel sorry for him because he's massively out of his depth and trying his best (which, sadly, isn't good enough) to help out. If the people in charge of the club would appoint a manager he could go back to being a coach and assisstant which is what he's good at by all accounts.

Believe me, it's neither a pleasure or a priveledge to watch Newcastle these dark Ashley days Watching the team isn't great. I can't recall the last time I didn't thorougly enjoy an away game though.
