The way I look at it, we're in a similar situation to when Bobby took over. It's going to take a season or two to sort out the mess left behind by a succession of failed managerial appointments, each sacked after tearing apart and half rebuilding the squad of their predecessor. So as long as it looks like foundations are being laid, I'm content. Only a fool would expect instant success or the immediate transformation of the squad we've got into contenders for Europe. I'll be happy if we make the top half.
