Well, you have to figure Gus Poyet might be a good mentor for a promising young attacking midfielder. Depends on how well he's recovered from injury, but it would seem mad not to give him a shot if he's in the final year of his contract with us. I haven't seen much of the lad, but I thought he looked excellent in the Accrington game. Every time he got the ball you felt like something was going to happen.

"Told he had no choice"? Basically he's either stupid, or a liar. -

Fraud investigation at Mike Ashley's Sports Direct

Might happen more in the future than it ever has before though, at least for those clubs without mega-rich backers. And in the era of "financial fair play" rules. -
I've heard him say this before, it's beyond belief, he either doesn't think anyone can read a set of accounts or he genuinely doesn't realise that £90 million with brackets round it is a loss. Perhaps UV is the only fan he's ever met.

One way or another, a general clear-out of nondescript towns in Lancashire has to be good news.

So it'll be Ashley's fault if the next owner gets us relegated? And bad news if he buys Sunderland?

Football's greatest - where does Lionel Messi rank?
OzzieMandias replied to Dave's topic in Football
f*** off, man He's neewhere near Djimi's incredible level. His back heeled pirouette finish against Burnley is the most preeminent piece of football that I have witnessed during my time on this Earth. I'm was too young and separated to truly remember the greats before 2000. In the new century, Messi is clearly the best player and there is very little in the way of real competition. Dominant, relentless, and graceful. You have to hope he doesn't experience injury, with what he has already accomplished at such a young age. The next 10-12 years could truly be special if there is no unfortunate circumstance, and the boy can keep his head. -

I love the agenda horse. "How man, get doon off ye agenda horse!"

I also have no doubt that he's waiting for the Man U job. Looks like Ferguson might go at the end of next season, maybe the end of this one if he bags the treble. Not sure I can see Man U fans taking to Mourinho, but that's another story.

It's not really even contradictory – Kroenke "has shown" (in the intervening four years since the original quotes, during which time he's been on the Arsenal board) that blah blah blah.

http://i537.photobucket.com/albums/ff336/BigPapaDorf/doubleFacepalm.jpg Sorry, I just don't give a fuck about the going ons at Arsenal. No one gives a fuck that you don't give a fuck.
