Should have sold Wilson to Forest instead.

Investing in youth and selling them on for profit is as natural as it gets, clubs have been doing it for years. Ours being neglected by Ashley for 14 years is unnatural because what maniac would self harm their football club like that?

There is but its a long process of good commercial deals and investing heavily in a world class academy so we can sell and beat PSR. We also have to spend the money we do have well so we can keep finishing in European spots. My only concern is we may have another season where the best we can achieve is Conference League which won't be good enough really so we're in danger of standing still while clubs like Villa have caught up with us and continue to kick on, Chelsea also look like they're sorting themselves out. I don't think the top 6 cartel is a closed shop even now because Man Utd and Spurs are about our level on the field, there's question marks over Chelsea still, especially if they lose Palmer to injury, and Arsenal and Liverpool have shown in the past that they can fall down the table. Its only Man City who are locked into the title race and top four for the foreseeable future.

I'd be surprised if he goes in January. We desperately need a right winger and a new midfielder, replacing Wilson would be a significant investment because the new forward will be rotating with Isak and we need him to score goals when he does, that type of player won't be cheap. We'll lose Wilson for free in January or the summer either way so I think we'll hold onto him. The only scenario I can see with him leaving in January is if his wages are needed and we can't offload someone like Targett instead.

You know Haaland will be back on it the second you take him out too. I've Keane on my bench this week and he got 14 points ffs, I can never win in this.

Itll take some time to hit the biggest heights that they want but when you look at Villa we could definitely be doing a lot better than we currently are even within these rules.

Some really bad refereeing over the weekend there but just seen this again on Reddit. How on Earth has the referee given a free here. https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/1g848o1/darwin_nunez_and_arne_slot_after_liverpool_were/

Given how poor our performances have been I can't see anything other than a loss here.

Anyone else enjoying the warm sense of familiarity during this spell of being shite again? Feels like home.
-
Hes definitely lacking a bit of sharpness but the whole team looks completely off it.

Public opinion seems to be shifting judging by the social media comments on his post match interview. Some really tough games coming up and a huge test for him.

Read that as 3 or 4.

Should be double that, including today. You said it yourself the alternative is Murphy.

I'd start both Gordon and Barnes but Howe doesn't seem to want to.
-
He should be dropped for Barnes if Howe can't find a way to get them both in.
-
Fucking shambles from Gordon. Complete shite that.
-
We look devoid of ideas going forward.

Cunts should be made to pick between the Tuesday teams.

How is it fair to not only have an early kick off after a round of midweek games, but to pick a team playing on Wednesday to play it?
-
I know its Man Utd and it probably doesn't matter but its even more mental to be paying that kind of money to someone as a good gesture in the days of PSR. Also, what about the other layoffs at the club did they choose to do before this.

That one I can understand. What are they getting back for just handing Fergie millions every year?
