We've been really poor in this game just letting Spurs play their game. We're not Steve Bruce's Newcastle now fighting to stay up, why are we so afraid to take them on?

Staveley and Ghodoussi may have "got us into the PSR mess" but as far as I'm concerned they got us out of it and all is forgiven in that regard. It wasn't ideal to lose Anderson and Minteh but we could have lost Gordon or Bruno, or both. Anderson was a young lad on the fringes of the first team and Minteh never kicked a ball for us so we did alright to sort the mess out and keep our best players. Had they still been here we'd have had a far better transfer window too and we'd all be buzzing for the season (I still am btw) without this negativity. I genuinely don't have a single bad word to say about either of them.

Oh I know that, but that's what they're telling us. With Man Utd, Chelsea and City maybe leaning towards change, perhaps Arsenal as well, maybe it's time to call a vote on removing or drastically changing these rules?

We've had to sell a talented young player to a rival to balance the books, a player who is having a great start to his PL career and who plays in a position where we are desperate for a new player. That's the reality of these rules. They were brought in to prevent clubs going bankrupt but they're so stringent that they're forcing teams to sell their youngsters to their own detriment. All these rules do is harm clubs and hold them back. They need to be scraped and rewritten in line with reality in the modern game. The fact that fans are having to act like accountants every summer to have some idea of what is going on at their club is proves that the whole thing is ridiculous.

Reckon that draw means we'll be playing on the 17th to be on TV. We're playing that Saturday and the Euro clubs are in Europe that week so they'll be the second week.

At the very least they should have looked at rescheduling or restructuring the League Cup rather than letting the top clubs just do what they want. I say this btw knowing that we'll most likely benefit from it too for years. Its just not right.

What is the reason for the European teams avoiding the second round by the way when the European competitions don't start for another month? Skipping a round was one thing but seeding them so they can't meet another one of the top teams, and also giving 4 of them home ties by default is a real kick in the teeth to the lesser teams and non Premier League teams who really try for the League Cup at this stage. They're sucking the enthusiasm out of the only teams and fans who care about the thing protecting the top clubs like this.

Yeah he needs to get the team playing a lot better. We didn't even have a touch in the Forest box in the second half until near 30 minutes in tonight, and we haven't looked convincing in the league either. He's done well with Spurs at SJP so hopefully we wake up and get going this weekend.
