Someone help me understand this. Is it about homegrown numbers or something?

Seen pictures of him and his wife on Instagram there and they were together since they were young teenagers. Heart breaking.

Same day is a bit full on but it is what it is.

Had tears in my eyes when it showed him on the pitch with one of his children in May past. Fuck life is so cruel.

Most people are to be fair. People just drop everything and head over if the person was close enough. Because it's normal here you can get time off work and that no bother usually.

Just got this beauty:

Of course the news has a live feed outside the church watching mourners go in and out.
-
Fuck I need a reset of my reputation on here.

Only if I'm giving and not receiving.

If you think the quick days are mad it's worse than that. If someone related to you dies they're in a relatives house, or even your house the next day in an open casket for two days of visitors then the funeral on the 3rd day. It's pretty crazy after things like accidents or suicide how intense it can be. But then maybe it's good to get it over and done with so you can be left alone to grieve? I kinda hate the idea of waiting weeks for the funeral too.

Catholic tradition. The same happens here in Ireland.

I don't think £60m is too much in this market and for a position that has badly needed improvement since before the takeover. Elanga looks good, is wanted by Eddie and already has friendships within the squad, it's a total no-brainer for me.

BBC saying his tyre blew out as he was overtaking someone. Such a tragic thing to happen on what's an everyday action.
-
He would fit in so well here because he already has friends in the squad. The deal makes so much sense.
-
And yet the spending cap for PSR hasn't changed since it came in.
-
Horrific news this. RIP.
-
Villa and Forest are in the same boat as us if not worse with PSR.
-
Hold on, Chelsea I can understand but are we giving up hope straight away because he's linked with bloody Villa?
-
Not sure they've tried hard enough. When Chelsea exploited the rules by handing out 9 year deals the PL waited until the transfer window closed to insert a rule, but even then you still have them handing out 7 year deals now so not sure they did too much to stop that loophole, maybe it should be capped at 5 or something? Also this business of selling club assets to companies owned by the same people is still happening now so that hasn't been shut down at all. It'll be interesting to see how the PL responds when Villa or Everton do it. Compare all this to when we got bought over, they rushed a rule through about third party sponsors so the Saudis couldn't pump money into the club. We haven't seen anywhere near that enthusiasm to stop Chelsea bending the rules.
-
For me it's more the fact that they've always been in danger of a PSR punishment but then they do some dodgy shit, get away with it, then spend another couple of hundred million with absolutely no consequences. The PL seem happy enough to let them work away at it while putting the squeeze on everyone else. The whole thing is a complete farce. Just another window of Chelsea doing whatever they want.
-
Honestly that looks so average to me.
-
I won't be happy.
-
I swear if our owners give them Chelsea bastards more money to take players to their Saudi clubs.
-
How much have Chelsea spent yet again? Have they a PSR cap or have the Premier League just decided to let them continue to do whatever they want, but God forbid we buy literally anyone.
