Why are we even selling players who started for us when fit last season? Selling 1 or 2 is different, but selling any more than that and we are either going backwards or standing still in regards to squad depth.

Can't say I'm happy with this, I would have liked Nolan to have played for another season or two, but you can't blame him for going with the 5 year deal. I'll always remember him fondly for the Championship season and the memories of last season. He will always be a hero here for the Sunderland games as well. We've had our fair share of average players here over the years and some will say Nolan was one of them, but he fairly made an impact. Best of luck at West Ham Kev

This whole thing just doesnt sit well with me. Why would the club want to sell Nolan after his performance last season? 12 goals from the midfield is fantastic, and yet here we are selling him for what will probably fuck all in todays market? Also why would the player himself want to move down to the Championship after scoring 12 Premier League goals last season? Its a bizarre move, Pardew's track record doesnt exactly fill me with confidence, but lets hope he knows what he is doing with this.
