I thought they paid 30m for him.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I’m not entirely sure if numbers are correct but apparently Ramsdale is on 120k/week. For example, Giorgi is currently on around 30k if numbers are to be believed. Quite the difference there already when thinking pros and cons.

I think we will sign Big Giorgi if any keeper.
  4. Must be tough for players earning so much money despite not working that many hours and also having to travel luxury style having it all served and organised The club isn’t doing this for the sake of it. Players wages are like 70-80% of the “company’s” turnover more or less.

Shouldn’t be rocket science? (Pun intended)

    1. I dont rate Ramsdale highly. 2. Fuck giving Arsenal a single penny.

I always thought Pope looked good for Burnley. He impressed me even more once we signed him. Ramsdale I have never felt the same about, error prone and seems weak mentally. Also don’t want to give them any money. I want a strong minded quality keeper.
  9. Hall to have a belter of a game. Love watching him with the ball at his feet.

The most perfect scenario tbh. A creative and composed RW with end product preferably. Technical ability is key.

Id be “ok” with that, of course. Not too fond of switching him over for Barnes though. Not that we will have this problem I’d guess.

Totally agree. Wouldn’t really want him. I’m desperate for us to strengthen CM though. I think and hope we will.

Ideally don’t want Barkley but he is a game changer if we play him instead of one of the others if one of Bruno/Tonali/Joelinton can’t play.
  14. That particular move was in a bit of transition though, with the opposition not so deep. We are quite good at those bits, especially with our better players available. What I’m talking about is more when we more or less play around the opposition box trying to find openings. Having a technically composed player there that calmly can keep hold of the ball and drag the opposition out of shape because of the opposition committing players, and also be able create something individually. Joelinton does things well, but assisting goals doesn’t happen too often from what I’ve seen. The final pass. Even if his link up play is decent from a deeper position at times. I also think it would allow us to control games better having that option in front of say Tonali and Bruno for example.
  15. I really feel like a more attacking midfielder with some flair would be great for us, and Isak in particular. A player that has the ability to draw attention and drag defenders out of shape to create more space for him in central areas. As it is now he becomes slightly isolated in line with the opposition CB’s which makes it difficult for him to get any space or chances really. Especially if the opposition sit quite deep and we try to create something by playing around their box. It usually ends up with Isak getting the ball and being forced to go backwards to play the ball out wide but then it’s quite easy for the opposition to cut him off from getting on the end of the balls played in. We mostly attack from the flanks or in between their CB and fullback with one twos and through balls but rarely centrally as it gets a bit too crowded there. It feels like most of his goals are scored when we are in transitions, or in semi transitions high up the pitch. I think having a more creative attacking option in there would give him more space and chances with the things happening centrally as well. It would also make us less predictable imo. Having that more attack minded midfielder would also work very very well with Bruno in a slightly deeper position as he is very progressive with his passing as well as very very capable when it comes to creativity if he has a technical option to play with that is central and closer to him in between the lines at times. Bruno could then go for one two’s with player X and we would be able create more from central positions without forcing Isak too deep and playing with his back to goal. Just having that one more attacking minded creative player really would make a difference I reckon. Would force the opposition to defend with two players at times. Not only that, it would give us more space out wide as the opposition would have to get more compact centrally at times. I don’t think we get the best out of Isak as it is. Having a very good option there that is great in possession would create more playing depth and the option of playing triangles more often as the distance wouldn’t be too far from Bruno who dictates the play and tempo. This post isn’t so much about last night, but just a general thought of mine.
  16. Hate to say it but it wouldn’t surprise me if Longstaff starts the first few games next season. (At least)
  17. It’s like he thinks the goal is the size of an ice hockey goal. Even then he’s always too slow to get down and his movement and such looks awkward.
  18. Bird nest FC won’t lose against Bournemouth unfortunately. I’m not even confident about us beating Brentford. More difficult game than ManU in many some ways. Mentally at least.
  19. I wish we had used that 40m differently than spending it on Barnes. Not a bad player and he is clinical but not my type of player as he is pretty one dimensional and lacks in general play. Been against it since the beginning. Having said that I’m. Sure he will do reasonably well though. In my opinion Gordon is one of the very first names on the team sheet and that’s out on the left 100%
  20. For next season as it is then Joelinton, Bruno and Tonali starts in midfield for us. I will be very very disappointed if we don’t add another CM to our squad. We play three CM’s and there will be injuries here and there and then Longstaff will be first choice to step in, and I don’t want that! We don’t want to rely on all our CM staying fit for most of the season.. I’m not even including Willock in this. You say (too many) that we are stacked in midfield, yet you always moan about the lack of quality in there. Yes we have been unlucky with injuries/suspensions but even then it’s not enough to play a full season with only three quality midfielders. It’s naive to expect it to work if we are looking to compete for top 4. Consistency over a season is key, but it won’t work without any depth in midfield. You say we have other priorities, well I agree to an extent. However, that new CM doesn’t have to cost a bomb either, or it might even be a good loan that is a long term option. Or a loan with an obligation to buy for next season. There are options out there. We don’t necessarily have sign a Zubimendi/Barella type of quality, but just getting another body in there that has alot more to offer than our other squad midfielders. Having said that, I’d be very very surprised if Howe doesn’t get another midfielder in even if no idea of what type of player. Well I at least hope so and think it’s absolutely massively important.
  21. I wonder how many goals we have conceded that a top class keeper would have saved. Not just that, sloppiness here and there and good in spells. Too little quality in midfield was a major problem.
  22. God I hate losing to these and Liverpool. Nothing compares!!! So damn frustrated if anything!
