Nah. I want players who i feel have more hunger and looking to properly develop their careers. Quality players that are very ambitious to become the best they can get. I don't get that feeling with Philips.

He has done very well, but also, let's not forget the teams we've played.

If we were to sign only one quality player in january then i would like Takefusa Kubo. Finally get that RW sorted out. 50m mind, and i think RM have first refusal on him.

Much better today. Our passing and movement is more progressive and and we are finding plays through the channels. Sheffield shocking mind.

Bissouma coming in has made the biggest difference to me.

If we are focused and on our toes and play with tempo and intensity then we will win. I wonder if we might look “hangover” though.

Or other teams can see what he would bring to a more possession based team where he gets to be involved a lot more. He is class. You don’t know what you’re missing sometimes until it’s gone. He’s gonna be class again and I thought he was very good against Milan despite quite alone in the centre of the pitch.

I’m not. Not until I see him settled and in a functional setup. Not sure what we are trying tactically.

An attacking LB like Hall would get our CM’s closer together. As of now him and Longstaff almost play as non central midfielders too far away and wide from Bruno who then gets too isolated easily. There’s too much space in the central area of the pitch for the opposition to exploit and personally I think it’s too flat too. We need someone taking some more depth in there, as well as someone providing more depth forward centrally too. I reckon Hall coming in would make our CM a bit tighter and being able to look more flexible and “3D” in the middle, especially in possession. We are not making the most of Bruno’s progressive passing as he has next to no one close to the side or in front of him to play to.

Him Trippier and Bruno were class I thought. Unfortunately Bruno was almost alone in the centre. Schar was good too.

I like him and he works hard but imo he doesn’t have enough quality.

I want him centrally. Not sure what the tactics are or why he ends up so wide all the time. I would like to see him centrally with Bruno and a player in between our pivot and striker. With both Bruno and Tonali allowed to roam forward at times. Right now it’s Tonali and Longstaff playing too far out to the sides with Bruno isolated centrally and with next to no options forward between midfield and attack. Get Hall in to offer width and some quality on the ball. At times it feels like we are playing with one central midfielder. Tonali should do better but I can’t judge him too hard. I feel that our setup and tactics are more wrong now than the lack of quality available. Both Bruno and Tonali are capable of progressive passing but the there’s no link up centrally between midfield and our attack. Need to make more use of this.

His talent is undoubted, always has been. It's the consistency he needs to find to be considered absolutely top class. He's not there yet.
