I haven’t said that I don’t rate him or that he isn’t a very good player. He also would improve us massively (obviously!). I just would prefer (ideally) a different type of player as our RW. One that perhaps has a bit more creativity and flair to give us a different dimension. I really really like Gordon on the left and he is class and suits us perfectly, and so would Mbuemo too in so many ways. I would preferably have a player that has quality and has some great attributes to help us against low block teams as well. Gordon for example is at his best when there’s a little bit more space/transitions. Not that he is bad at the other stuff. I think Mbuemo is quite similar in that regard to some degree. Ben Arfa style of player would be my top choice when it comes to player style as we have quite many “direct” players already. I would be very happy with Mbuemo but just not my top choice when it comes to what type of player. He would do well for us though.

Personally I think we need something slightly different out on the right. A player that can be very very effective and create. Many good players out there but quite many are mostly good in transitions. I would like something a bit more creative. Olise would be perfect as he is a bit of a mix. Good in transitions but can also create. A Bernardo Silvva type would be “ok” too…

Don’t see him replacing Howe despite all his achievements.

He will be class. 100% certain. Just need to give him some time.

A lot of dead wood released now is nice. Such as Ritchie, Dummet, Karius, Hendrick and so on.

What asworth said was along the lines of “I don’t talk about specific player’s contracts but sometimes a release clause can be only for some clubs” (unless I was drunk) Nothing has been confirmed either way unless I’ve missed something. Having said that, I’m certain that there will be people who know the details. I don’t see it being only clubs outside of PL for example, no chance.

I said it some time ago that I think this will happen. Hopefully it does, I feel it’s just about when, not if. Unless some other major club bumps in suddenly with a big offer.

We can think this and that but we really have no clue what we can or can’t spend. Let’s wait until the window closes.

Aye, I think it’s £43m. Like mentioned above Olise’s is just under 60m. 43m is a very good deal so I think there will be tons of clubs after him and he might want to stay in spain. Whether that’s Bilbao or Barca or wherever. No matter what, it’s nice that we seem to to be aiming high. It still annoys me that we didn’t get Arda Guler

Think it’ll more or less equally as difficult to get Williams really. Close to as difficult at least. Would be over the moon with either of them tbh. I like Neto too but way too injury prone.
