Doesn't sound too bad, maybe someone like Javi Martínez But there's more creative players out there, But he's young and tall 6ft 3 or something i think..

The panic thread will now change to the Optimism thread probably

Atm i think we need a right footed player more than a left one...

So we've just sold Milner for £12 million, and of all the players on God's green Earth the best you can come up with is Lennon?! That's frightening! Wouldn't we essentially be back to square one? A player who flatters to deceive but never actually produces an end product? Just in this case Lennon is a bit quicker. No thanks. Knowing Tottenham they would demand £12 million and all! There are much better payers out there who are rumoured to be available this summer and would cost less. Prime example is Seb Larsson. We could even go abroad and bring in someone like Jaroslav Plasil or even Joaquin. Agreed. But Joaquin would want very high wages probably and is very inconsistent. Only class when he's in the mood. And om not sure he would like to move to the north east either. Would rather go for other players than him, But who knows. Could be a good signing. But a risky signing imo..

£9-12m? YES PLEASE. I just hope that we have some players lined up. If there´s time enough it shouldn't be too hard to get a player who´s alot better than Milner for that price..
-
For that price it "shouldn't be hard to find a better player to replace him with..

He was very good against France last week and scored one hell of a nice goal. It was a friendly btw...Very intelligent player who's still fit and in good shape. Not that i would try to get him if i was the manager, But if we did sign him it would be a good signing for the short term, but i hope we look for the longterm option instead..

He would gladly take the wages Milner is currently on, as he certainly won't be on anythng close to that. So we could potentially get a player who is clearly better and just as good a pro for less money and less wages, who is also prem experienced. Hopefully this is what we have been working on in the last week with Birmingham. Their signing of Owusu-Abeyie gave me huge hope, and thankfully they are going pretty well at the moment. I think it is a very good possibility, and I would be ecstatic. Milner would be an absolute afterthought if we signed Larsson. i don't think it's clear. Neither do i...

£500k I think. Ok, cheers, so it's not THAT much then..But say we end up in a UEFA cup place and we do pretty well in the cup next season, say that we reach the quarter/semi final, then i guess that would give us quite alot more money? I wonder WHY we cannot get quality players in, is it because we cant attract the players that are good enough? Or that we refuse to budge for the clubs asking prices and are keeping our money a little bit too tight when it comes to spending. Of course i dont want us to pay silly prices for a player that isn't even near worth that sum. Even if we dont get the quality players that goes straight in to the team i think we should at least be able to get better squad depth. Im not VERY worried about our team atm, and when our other players get fit we have quite a good team tbh. But there's no cover at all in some positions, not cover of enough quality. I would be pretty satisfied with our curren team for this season if we just had better squad depth. IF we get injurys as we probably will get, especially if we play the same players each game we will certainly get a few injuries. IF the window closes and we haven't even got any decent squad players in then i will panic because over the season we will get punished with quite a few points due to us not having a squad that is strong enough. Maybe we dont get as many "real quality" players in like Colo and Jonas, not as many as we would want. But i will not complain about that as long as we get a strong enough squad to make it to January without loosing too many points because us not having decent enough of cover for injured players. It will take time and im patient and with time we will get more quality players in like Jonas and Colo to name two players. PLayers that make a real difference in the quality of our team.. But there's still a few days for us to get a couple of decent players, hopefully 3, but im not that confident about it so im a little bit nervous, but not in panic. Yet anyway

Sorry for going a little bit OT. But i have a question, how much money is each position worth? Say that a team that ends up at 7th place in the table, how much more money does that team get than one that ends up at say 8th place? What im trying to say that 3 quality players more for our team/squad would probably help us ending up around 3 places higher in the table than with our current squad. Not for sure, but i think it could be something like that..

Suazo on loan anyone? Played alone as a striker before he went to Inter. Not the typical targetman though, but lots of pace..But i think he was on his way to Benfica a while ago, does anyon know if he went there in the end?
-
Have you seen Newcastle play?
-
"And Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill, who has long coveted Milner, was at the match to see the 22-year-old's stunning performance up front." No wonder he worked hard last night despite being unhappy...
-
Then he can fuck off, he's not that good as he seems to think he is...Just hope that there's time to find new players before Monday
-
Well now i understand all the talk about this guy in the Nufc vs Cov. thread...Haha..
-
Why was he looking down almost all the time when he got interviewed? I guess you cant answer that,
-
Been VERY impressed of Enriques play...Strong, composed and some nice passing, especially for the goal...Won alot of challenges beautifully
-
Youngster/Gangsta signed from Southampton. Ah Okey, cheers, is that the one who Southampton didn't really want even if he was talented? Because of his personality?
