I dunno man. It would have been just exquisite if Shola had scored the pen.

Referees that don't give a red in such situations should be punished too.. The punishment should be a Joey Barton two footed tackle to their shins.
-
He doesn't look like he's been fasting. If anything he looks slightly heavier than last season. I think he needed a proper pre season and will take a few games to get up to full speed and then we'll see Cabaye getting more instrumental as well.
-
WOW!!! So much to make from that statement
-
what is it with these people living halfway across the world and their miserable reactions to a classic derby win on enemy territory?
-
The lads are in for a good night tonight. And so are we
-
Pardew said Tiote and Barton were sitting too deep in the first half. I think once Barton in particular gets involved more further forward we'll start to see the best of Cabaye.

but he does not have any end product says the Good to see more people are starting to look beyond the end product criticisms. To put it in perspective a sunderland fan was on the radio moaning that Larsson might as well have not been on the pitch. There's a guy with great end product but fuck all pace, dribbling or industry. I've never seen anything from Larsson that makes me think he's better than Ryan Taylor, in fact I don't even think his right foot is as effective. I think he's better on the ball than Taylor, but then Ryan would put in much more running. Anyway the point is that Jonas pisses all over Larsson from a great height.

This game should be a milestone in his development. Even when he was making the odd mistake last year you always felt that if he was given a run of games to build some confidence and get some experience he'd go on to be a top class keeper. Looks like he's on the road.

Give over Mr Mojo, we've just won the fucking derby. I don't know if living in Thailand or wherever you are has had some sort of anti-zen affect on your brain but lighten up.

Sunderland fan just texted in to Radio Newcastle "hate to admit it but Coloccini was a class above anyone else on the pitch" :colo:
-
That might be the one I read.
-
Not sure he's got the team right yet but he's stood strong in a difficult week so fair play
-
I think it was Barton who was hinting at dressing room unrest in his tweets.
-
Yeah. He's probably one of the worst footballers we've signed in the last 5 years but he's paid his transfer fee off with that goal today. The lovely ugly bastard.
-
Colo is like the terminator. You could hit him with a truck and he'd still get back up.
-
he looks overweight and unfit to me.

Love how our shittest players keep winning derby matches

I see, you really don't know anything about football. Whether Arsenal and Spurs sign the 'right players' or not doesn't matter, we've signed the right players for us and that's the important thing. How would you know who was or wasn't the right manager for any club? Who do you think you are, Mystic Meg? Dalglish has never failed to deliver at Liverpool and he spent 13 years here before this second stint. I think I'll judge him on that rather than some nobody who doesn't know his arse from his elbow. If it's you who considered them shit then I'd say it's 47 million well spent. I'm not Mystic Meg nor would I want to be because she's just some daft bint who writes for the paper who you should have been boycotting if you knew any better. If you think I don't know about your manager you're very much wrong as I saw first hand what he did to our club when he was manager here. He didn't do much better when he fled to Celtic with John Barnes as his sidekick either. Your American owners seem to be as clueless about football as Ashley and co. Enjoy the experiment.

I don't see how his time at Man U or Sunderland has anything to do with whether he's improved here, which he clearly has. In what way? He's more consistent and that was shown again against Arsenal when he defended well. How does one game make him more consistent, especially when you consider that the two biggest criticisms on this site have been that he backs off too much to be a good defender and that he offers nothing going forward either? Are you talking about him being consistent in being mediocre?
