    Alan Pardew

The lads are in for a good night tonight. And so are we
  2. Pardew said Tiote and Barton were sitting too deep in the first half. I think once Barton in particular gets involved more further forward we'll start to see the best of Cabaye.
  3. but he does not have any end product says the Good to see more people are starting to look beyond the end product criticisms. To put it in perspective a sunderland fan was on the radio moaning that Larsson might as well have not been on the pitch. There's a guy with great end product but fuck all pace, dribbling or industry. I've never seen anything from Larsson that makes me think he's better than Ryan Taylor, in fact I don't even think his right foot is as effective. I think he's better on the ball than Taylor, but then Ryan would put in much more running. Anyway the point is that Jonas pisses all over Larsson from a great height.

  5. This game should be a milestone in his development. Even when he was making the odd mistake last year you always felt that if he was given a run of games to build some confidence and get some experience he'd go on to be a top class keeper. Looks like he's on the road.

Give over Mr Mojo, we've just won the fucking derby. I don't know if living in Thailand or wherever you are has had some sort of anti-zen affect on your brain but lighten up.
  7. Sunderland fan just texted in to Radio Newcastle "hate to admit it but Coloccini was a class above anyone else on the pitch" :colo:

    Sunderland...

    Agent Bruce. *snigger*

    Alan Pardew

Not sure he's got the team right yet but he's stood strong in a difficult week so fair play
  10. I think it was Barton who was hinting at dressing room unrest in his tweets.

    Ryan Taylor

Yeah. He's probably one of the worst footballers we've signed in the last 5 years but he's paid his transfer fee off with that goal today. The lovely ugly bastard.
  12. Colo is like the terminator. You could hit him with a truck and he'd still get back up.
  13. I see, you really don't know anything about football. Whether Arsenal and Spurs sign the 'right players' or not doesn't matter, we've signed the right players for us and that's the important thing. How would you know who was or wasn't the right manager for any club? Who do you think you are, Mystic Meg? Dalglish has never failed to deliver at Liverpool and he spent 13 years here before this second stint. I think I'll judge him on that rather than some nobody who doesn't know his arse from his elbow. If it's you who considered them shit then I'd say it's 47 million well spent. I'm not Mystic Meg nor would I want to be because she's just some daft bint who writes for the paper who you should have been boycotting if you knew any better. If you think I don't know about your manager you're very much wrong as I saw first hand what he did to our club when he was manager here. He didn't do much better when he fled to Celtic with John Barnes as his sidekick either. Your American owners seem to be as clueless about football as Ashley and co. Enjoy the experiment.
  14. I don't see how his time at Man U or Sunderland has anything to do with whether he's improved here, which he clearly has. In what way? He's more consistent and that was shown again against Arsenal when he defended well. How does one game make him more consistent, especially when you consider that the two biggest criticisms on this site have been that he backs off too much to be a good defender and that he offers nothing going forward either? Are you talking about him being consistent in being mediocre?

Didnt Barton do the same allegedly? To The wanker i mean not done to him Possibly. But that would mean Pardew isn't a yes man and is picking Barton despite him falling out with the hierarchy. Doesn't really compute with the conspiracy theories.
  17. You've hired the wrong manager mate. Arsenal and Spurs will sign the right players even if it's later in the window and you will be left scratching your head wondering how the fuck did we spend the best part of £100m on players who were considered shit in the Championshp just 12 months ago.
  18. He's a Man U reject who was never even considered first team material and he spent a year at Sunderland without getting offered a better contract than we could offer in the Championship. I don't see how he has improved in any way while he's been here other than raise his profile by being at a more glamorous club.
  19. Well of course he has. But if we feel that we can get a better player in - and we've got plenty of time to do that - why offer him a longer / bigger contract? It really all boils down to how much you rate him as a player, and amidst all the wringing of hands I haven't noticed one post that says he's a good player who we need to keep. This was the initial post I had replied to, hadn't spoken about anything regarding the one you were agreeing with. Crossed wires? People are jumpy because they think we will sell Simpson without replacing him this season because of what happened with Enrique. But he had one year left on his contract and was a top quality full back. Simpson is one of three fairly average right backs at the club and he's still got 2 years left on his contract. There's really not the same worry from me about his situation as there seems to be among others.
  20. If you think you will be back in the CL with such an insular view as that while Man City are buying Aguero and Chelsea are hunting down Modric you need help. Suarez has been the best buy Liverpool made in the last 12 months and that was probably done over King Kunny's head.
  21. Cronky said "We don't need to replace him in this window. He's got 2 years left on his contract." That's what I was agreeing with.
