What's a good deal? The only numbers we've heard rumoured so far from Liverpool have been £120m. That's a terrible deal.

Do they even have the money now? They splurged a load on Mbuemo and Cunha, not sure they haven't blown their wad on those two. Sesko would be a huge outlay on top of that given they are already pretty tight for cash.

It's the World Cup next year, how long could he afford to be in a strop for anyway? He'll need to show his quality even to keep other clubs interested.

I don't see it that way. Like Ekitike he would be the long term replacement for Isak which we always thought might happen next season. If we end up selling him to Liverpool for less than £150m I'll take that back like.

£120m is a crazy valuation tbh. If we took that it would signal to the rest of football that we are there to get sand kicked in our face.

Think this is what is happening away from all the hysteria on social media.

It's inevitable when we are chasing players that other top clubs are in for. If we lower our standards then we could get players in within a week.

He's clearly talented and can finish, but not sure it will translate to the PL. Not sure how he's allegedly making huge salary demands on the back of that.

Problem is, Liverpool is the only option right now if you discount the Saudi league, which he has apparently.

If he prefers a move to Man U then I assume it's just going to be another case of giving it our best shot and hoping for the best. Even without CL they are a much bigger name for most players, and can probably offer a bigger salary for that matter. If he goes there then we probably hold onto Isak and double down on Wissa.

There's no way we let Isak go unless there's at least one striker coming in.

He must know something we don't then since we won't sell Isak unless Liverpool come up with a fee which will make it worth our while. It really does sound like he's just a mouthpiece for agents tbh.

The silence is deafening from the club so no surprise there. With Eales and Mitchell gone no one really seems to know who's at the helm any more.

Arsenal are further ahead than us in pre-season so was not expecting anything other than a loss, especially with no Isak who normally enjoys bumming their top class defenders. A decent run out for me.

I've addressed all the other points quite a lot in various posts already, feels like most posters are in agreement on those. Just seemed strange to throw in all the stuff about human rights, sportswashing and blood money in there, which raises different questions altogether. I mean that's more of an ethical issue and would kind of make the rest of your concerns negligible by comparison.
