  1. I think Jose's problem is his laid back style. Our players interpret that as lazyness therefore he is an easy target. As he is not a vocal member of the squad it also makes him an easy target. If he has the personality to say 'fuck you' then i think it is a good idea to berait him for mistakes, but if he has the personality to crawl up his own arse the shouting has a negative effect Jose's got ability which we all saw last week, but he's not getting rollickings from team mates because he's an easy target. He can be very dozy at times and you can't play the offside trap if one of the defenders isn't on the ball, I'm pretty sure he wasn't looking along the line on at least one occasion.
  2. Goal yesterday looked good but in reality it was a deflected effort He is an average premiership player looking good in a good 'team of the moment' team He will unfortunately piss all over our entire midfield at the end of the season in regards to goals and assists. I never claimed he was anything more than a good young player, I am sure some people will be near bursting point at the end of the season from the amount of humble pie they will have consumed (thats not aimed at you btw). I doubt it. The number of goals he's scored which are mis-hits or flukes is unreal. Milner always had ability but I still don't think he's going to make the most of it, much the same way Jenas hasn't. If he does good luck to him, he never produced enough at Newcastle regardless of what he does at Villa.
  3. Ditto. He's been worshipped on Tyneside for years, but now he's just another prick playing for Man City. He wasn't forced out he got his agent to put the feelers out like plenty of other ingrates have done in the past. Good luck Shay and yes..please do fuck off.
  4. If Nolan's out I would think Smith will start in midfield.
  5. Harper did ok I thought. We didn't miss Shay at all and we won.
  6. Take it you've never had heart problems, high blood pressure etc or known anyone close to you to have that sort of problem. Lucky bastard, if so. You can't ignore Joe's medical history either. I really do hope that the club seriously consider whether it's right to let him carry on as manager. He looks like he's about to burst a blood vessel sitting on the bench sometimes. Make him tough it out till the end of the season for whatever stability that might provide, amicably part ways due to concerns over health with someone class lined up already. Win - Win. Sorted. Unless his ticker gives out. Taking a bit of a chance really, but I guess they'll take medical advice.
  7. I think the high line is played because of the lack of mobility in midfield. Butt has problems getting up and down the pitch because he's a relic and from what I've seen of Nolan he doesn't look like he's got much of an engine either...or maybe he's just not fit yet. The high line allows the midfielders to play in one half so they don't get gassed as quickly.

Bloody hell I didnt realise that Good chance to make the switch to 4-3-3

    Ryan Taylor

He's a right back and that's where he should play instead of Taylor.
  11. Like sweet, sweet music I'd rather he got a hat-trick and a score of 10. Each to their own I guess. He was pretty shite today like. I doubt we'll see much more of him this season except from the bench where he can actually be quite useful IMO.

The win was even more crucial in that we will have key players coming back over the next few weeks. We have to scrap even the best teams for the points, every point against the big boys will be crucial.
  13. Ashley & Co increasing the wage bill? Good luck on that one.
  14. Can we stop talking about this player now? He's got a new set of fans to kiss his sky blue arse so no need for us to keep puckering up.
  15. I think a 4-3-3 with Lovenkrands and Martins off Viduka could be lethal.
  16. Good, I haven't seen the game but it sounded like we had difficulty keeping posession in the second half and Butt and Nolan seemed to lose control of the centre. Great win though.
  17. Certainly knows where the goal is, we need that in our team. Well done lad.
  18. Blody hell...just seen this now. Hope he's ok, the win should make him feel better. Best all round if he is asked to step down for his own sake more than anything else. Certainly shouldn't be here beyond this season.
  19. The suggestion of taking off some combination of Butt/Duff/Ameobi happens every match thread. They never do To be fair, Shola's been a handful today, and it's not as if we've got any impact subs on the bench. We don't need impact players we've scored 3 goals already. We need to get fresh legs on to get control of the midfield.
  20. Time for some tactical subs although I'm wasting my time saying it.

    Ryan Taylor

He's 24 I think. Nolan is supposed to be 26 but he looks and moves like a 30 yr old.

    Interesting read

Keegan was great, but there are very few clubs today that will be able to offer him the sort of conditions he wants to work with, one of which is a big transfer kitty. He left Newcastle because of it once before and we were one of the biggest clubs in the country at the time.
  23. Shit article on the eve of such an important game. It's not time to slash your wrists just yet Lee, we are playing West Brom. Fuck off and watch City's game if you are still pining after Shay.
