I do agree with this, but if we are not going to sell depreciating assets, then I guess we can just keep on buying and hope the FFP/PSR bullshit won't pull us up on it.
-
Honestly man, it's about time. Delighted with it.
-
So would I but selling Longstaff for £40m might prove a bit harder.
-
I think Isak would have been proud of that Reynolds finish for the first goal. That might have been a one off but it didn't look like it.
-
Like everyone else, he suddenly looked a lot better after our second goal. Despite struggling today, I still feel he's the one midfielder we have who has the technique to be press resistant. But he needs players of the same calibre around him, otherwise his lack of pace will get targetted if he tries to do too much himself.
-
Should put her on the right wing then, she'd know how to apply the finish.
-
Their problem wasn't just the shooting, they just had no one to attack the ball. There was one particular cross in the first half which I was worried our defenders might deflect it in even if their forwards were too timid to attack it.
-
If he really doesn't want a move to Saudi, face mask-worthy illnesses would be a great way to scupper any deal.
-
Yep, assuming the deal hasn't been made permanent, it no longer seems to make that much sense. Especially if he doesn't consider himself a left back, because that's the position where we needed a developing full back of real potential.
-
It was amazing like. I don't know if Craven Cottage being a smaller ground amplified it, but there was a wall of sound for 96 minutes. Some cracking songs getting aired as well.
-
I agree with this normally, but we had a two week break and looked even worse than when we were "fatigued". Seems more of a confidence thing, because as soon as we went 2-0 up, suddenly we were passing all around their press.
-
I didn't think he did particularly well until we got the second goal, after that Bruno was back to his best as well, despite having a stinker in the first half.
-
The best bet would be to play how we did in the second half today, sit a bit deeper then play through their press and counter. Mind we only did it effectively once we were 2-0 up, then everyone suddenly started finding the quick intricate one-twos.
-
We defended alright, but not sure that was down to our competence or their complete lack of anything resembling a striker.
-
Was thinking the same thing watching it. All three are turgid slow across the pitch, no wonder Fulham were on the press from the get go. If we are going to have a languid midfielder, that has to be Bruno as the fulcrum and he needs the other two to have pace and power to give him something to aim at.
-
I like his directness, but at the same time, Miggy is a much better footballer wrt ball retention.
-
Let me guess - you missed the first half?
-
I thought that it had been confirmed we were obligated to buy him now. But from his lack of appearances that wouldn't seem to be the case.
-
We played well once we were 2-0 up, then suddenly we were popping the ball around in the tiniest gaps. Not sure we'll get that luxury against teams with any sort of a striker.
-
Don't think I've seen Willian miss a single pass.
-
Subs might be a good idea with a 2 goal lead.
-
Gordon has been awful.
-
The lack of confidence is directly correlation to lack of skill.

Not looking forward to Villa despite the soreline.
