    Tino Livramento

Tino's one of my favourite players tbh. I could well believe a cartel club is in for him. I wouldn't believe it if was Murphy or Krafth.
  2. What do you think? He'll accept 200k a week when he sees every other elite striker getting 300k a week? I think we definitely keep him one more season, after that we need to find some way to pay top wages or we'll have to sell him and buy a striker who's not reached that level yet.
  3. Evann Guessand. Might not be proven, but we can definitely look to these type of signings to pad the squad out. They are young enough to have a higher ceiling as well.
  4. Agree. He's a fantastic manager but he seems to be doing every other job in the hierarchy as well. It's partly by design, the likes of Andy Howe are here because he trusts them, so he has to have some accountability. Eales tried to do things according to his own principles, and rightly or wrongly got shot down. As they say, with great power comes responsibility, this is something Howe has gladly accepted for most of his time here.
  5. Said this a few times now, but just because we pay Isak 250k doesn't mean we have to automatically give everyone else a pay rise. Tonali is probably the only other absolutely elite player on our books, Bruno is fantastic but with the lack of pace downside, he probably couldn't command the really big wages.
  6. When the Realistic Transfer thread is being bumped, you know we are struggling for players.
  7. 2 years too late, but better late than never.

No one is suggesting we should sell Isak btw. We want to keep him but if he doesn't sign a new contract by next summer he will be sold.

Of course but at least in the interim we'd have a quality PL striker.
  10. Not sure if he left or was pushed tbh. If Eddie didn't trust him then he was better off without him. Sorry but this one has to be put on Eales who should also have gone much earlier since I think he was not in the right state to make decisions with his ill health.
  11. I think he's great with his feet, that would have brought a lot to our game. Not sure about his actual goalkeeping ability though, shot stopping and handling. Not seen enough of him to pass judgement.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Can we just ignore the mackem twat until he's banned? It's fucking up a perfectly good thread, tedious sifting through all the replies for relevant transfer news if we are just taking his bait.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I suppose there's nothing wrong with this as long as we've still got our shopping list and can head down to Asda before closing time.

He'd make us a lot stronger for sure if you disregard the PSR angle. But if we are seriously pursuing it, feels like it will end up being another massive waste of time when either Brentford don't sell, or he ends up at Spurs. There must be other options who aren't quite that proven but are still regarded as up and coming strikers. Like that Evann Guessand for example.
  15. Well that was my original point, once he was deemed unfit to do the job someone else should have taken charge. But clearly he's been considered in good enough health to carry on so he has.
  16. Because he was responsible for bringing in Mitchell who was unable to do any deals for a year, then left at the beginning of a window where he should have had everything set up to earn his money. It's been a year of twiddling our thumbs effectively and left us with a shoestring team to conclude business at the most important time of the year.
  17. No. It may be that they would rather spend money where they can get a quicker return as they are doing with their other sporting ventures. They can just play by the PL rules and treat NUFC as a long term investment in the meantime. If they sold up I would be worried they might buy a cartel club where they could do what they really want.
  18. Ted Boehly was already operating from a position of financial strength due to Chelsea already being a cartel superclub.
  19. The failure has been the appointment of Eales and then not replacing him once he was deemed unfit to do the job.
  20. I agree but personally I don't think any owners will be allowed to turn this club into one that can compete with the cartel. If the Saudis can't do it, who will?
  21. Tbf they should do. Just to make more of a mockery of the way PSR is geared towards the cartel.
  22. We aren't meant to have hope, the PL is set up to protect the interests of the existing cartel.

If there was no PSR yes. Before the rules were hurriedly brought in to stop us spending our way to the top like Chelsea and City did, these were exactly the type of signings I was hoping for.
