  1. Yep. Ekitike is a talented player, but Isak is a proven destroyer of world class defenders. We must keep him unless he throws a hissy fit.
  2. Isak is more important than Ekitike. We only sell if we get a ridiculous price and the player wants the move. For £75m we can buy an alternative to Ekitike. Isak is world class already.
  3. All these posters making up songs are going to feel like right tits if he ends up going to Liverpool.
  4. Someone like Gyokeres would have made more sense for them. Or Cesko maybe.
  5. I think most people really liked having Amanda and Mehrdad as the face of the club tbf. She was obviously good at making things happen, but there were a few doubts about her financial dealings but you are always going to get some opinions going the other way.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Absolutely. Back Eddie PIF. Back him all the way.
  7. Man U probably can't afford him after spunking their money on Mbuemo. Sir Jim Ratshit must be absolutely raging the way things are playing out.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I think it's just a case of getting our long term targets in if there's an opportunity. That's Howe's way of working, I think he would definitely rather pay a bit more now and have a couple of quiet windows later if it means we can get the RIGHT players in. Especially with us being in the CL this season.
  9. I never really believed I would be saying it at this stage, but a window with Ekitike, Trafford and Elanga really does put us in title charge mode.
  10. I think the only reason that hasn't happened is that PIF are not going to plough money into infrastructure if they aren't allowed to spend on the quality of the product. I said this numerous times already, but they can get a far quicker return by investing in other sports ventures. I still think they will build the new stadium, training ground etc, but they probably figure they can wait until the rules have been set aside by other clubs challenging. Seeing as they signed a waiver they wouldn't be the ones doing it.
  11. If we can afford it, it makes so much sense on every level. In a CL season we can definitely use them both liberally, and it puts us in a great position if clubs come hunting for Isak.
  12. If it's getting done tomorrow then ulube video would be a better description.
  13. My gut feel is that we might be using Ekitike as a smokescreen for a different striker. Or it might be that we were using DCL as the smokescreen for Hugo. Hopefully it's this one.
  14. Would be great but I'd reluctantly accept announcing a new Isak contract a week later even if we couldn't do it on the same day.
  15. Not a great look for TT getting brought down by a mackem either mind.
  16. I've always wanted him even 3 years ago, same as with Pedro. But I refuse to get too excited while Liverpool are reportedly sniffing around. I do see that it's possible Howe would like to bring him here though if our budget will stretch to it. He was really keen the first time round and was very disappointed it didn't happen.
  17. It was after catching him making the same points on a guest spot on Loaded Mags that I queried this idea being put about questioning the owners commitment. I don't share it, but I've read enough posts on here to see that many people do.
  18. If Isak doesn't sign a new contract with us, every chance Ekitike would become our no 1 striker in 12 months anyway if he hits it off. The only reason we would go for Ekitike IMO is to give us insurance if Isak wants more wages than we can currently afford.
  19. Are Liverpool going to pin their hopes on Ekitike or would they rather go for Isak even in a year's time?
  20. Why would who accept it? I said there was more than enough games for two players so are you talking about Isak or Ekitike?

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Gallagher for the same reason, but I think it only happens if we don't get our primary targets which are other positions.
  22. That's not my personal view but there's been plenty of noise that PIF are spending their money on ventures like the FCWC which is benefiting other clubs rather than NUFC or various other sporting events like golf and boxing.
