  1. I know what you mean, he did that last time he was here. Last time Spurs, City, Villa and Chelsea weren't in a position to compete with his spending. To recreate the past we'll need to shoot their billionaire owners and hope their wives get all the cash.
  2. I thought Bruce did pretty badly at Birmingham. He spent plenty of money and got them relegated after all. I agree though, he's probably a more likeable bloke than Ince or Poyet for what it's worth.
  3. I'd love Keegan back but I'm not sure I want him back with all control of transfers in and out. Not unless Ashley is prepared to bankroll his signings without putting us into big time debt. IMO, even if Keegan spends £50m we still won't win anything because we'll probably have a bunch of over-paid big time charlies who won't have the hunger to break into the top 4.
  4. If that's true, it pretty much scotches all this talk of Ambani being a Newcastle fan then. He's just going to whoever will sell up for less. Or just trying to make Ashley sweat a bit more. We shall see.
  5. This attitude has been the problem at Newcastle since the Freddie Shepherd days. While Ince and Poyet are relatively unknown quantities, Bruce has been exposed as surely one of the stupidest managers in English football whose teams play ugly football obviously lacking decent coaching of any sorts. Yet some would still prefer him because he's a 'geordie'. No he's not, he's a f***ing manc imbecile. Nowt to do with fact he's a geordie and I dont want him at the club. I just said I would prefer him to Wise Poyet or Ince Why would you prefer him to Poyet or Ince?

  7. What do you see him wanting then?
  8. Would you have preferred they didn't try to get KK back first? Looks to me like it was a waste of time, seeing as they failed. The point is they've left it this long and STILL failed to get KK back. Seeing as there are two parties involved, along with their lawyers, why do you assume it is down to only one side to agree to the other's demands? Because Keegan resigned? Therefore it is he who has the gripe. I've never thought Keegan was blameless in all this, but I don't think he'll have been asking the world either. And I know who I'd rather trust with the future of the club. As I said, I just think this was a very large gamble by Ashley and it's not come through. Fair play for trying, but he should have been willing to make the changes required when going back after this long. He obviously wasn't. Another way of looking at this might be Ashley would like Keegan on board, but without limitless funds iwhich we are prepared to potentially write off, it just isn't worth it.

  11. No, I get the feeling that we have tried really hard to keep Keegan on board because he's important to the fans. If he wants to control buying and selling though he should probably buy the club out.

    If...

Some credit would have to go to Ashley for making the u turn, it would take some dent in his pride to do that. Probably shitting bricks about the Hull game. I doubt he's made a U-turn, he's probably just trying to find a solution to a conflict between his employees. No, he let Keegan leave, therefore a u-turn You can't stop someone from resigning mate. To be fair, Chelsea are doing a reasonable job of it. Scolari wants to resign?
  13. As many suspected. If Ashley was sticking by his men, it hardly translates as begging does it? What fucking garbage.

  15. I hope you're right. If thousands kicking off will lead to a new owner buying out Ashley and the new owner pumps in millions, it will all have been worthwhile.
  16. A new manager can be appointed. A new owner can't, he has to want in badly enough. We can't protest or demand a new owner in Please be aware of that.
  17. Ashley obviously hasn't changed his stance so what other reason can you think of for having the meeting? You've deleted the relevant part of the conversation so what is it you want me to reply to?
  18. If Keegan is prepared to share the losses of any transfer dealings he has complete control over, then definitely Ashley should compromise.
  19. Well I suppose he was bringing his legal team to try and secure £8m compensation then. It's probably the best way of keeping his Soccer Circus going a bit longer.
  20. I've answered why, if further dicussions were planned then why not say so without going into details. Tonights talks were not announced but news got out, I think this looks like an attempt to stop any protests, nothing more. Yes well this would be a good way of doing that wouldn't it?
  21. LMA seem pretty quick to publicise negative news. You would think if they want a satisfactory conclusion they would shut the fuck up until it's agreed one way or the other.
  22. Please don't post anything as definitive as that without a source. I'm sure there is at least one poster on here with a heart condition. If KK has met Ashley in London and the media have wind of it, it is from a club source. A meeting between the 2 would not take place unless his reappointment was on the agenda. They would have nothing civilised to talk about KK i believe, is our manager I tend to agree, but don't post it as if it's breaking news, which was how it looked. All we know is that they have had a meeting. We don't know if that has resolved the issues as yet, but my gut instinct is it probably has. I firmly believe that KK must have been at least 90% in favour of returning if he was to even meet Ashley in London. I know for a fact he's 100% in favour of returning. I would assume this meeting would be to decide on what terms it could happen, and that could still be a sticking point. At least they are meeting face to face which should help.
