Have you seen our bench for the last few months? Howe doesn't even want to use those players, how hard could it be to bring in someone from Europe who could replace one of the two keepers?
-
One thing I can't get my head around, why are we not using the loan market? Our bench has been woeful for months now, it's costing us points and a possible European place next season. Forget PL loans, we should be able to find a midfielder playing in the European leagues. I can only hope this Phillips deal is going through because we've lost 5 out of our last 6 PL games if I'm not mistaken?
-
What a scoop signing that was on the back of Al Pardew's close ties with Sir Alex.
-
We still won't have a midfield to speak of. Bruno + two local lads is not enough for the second half of the season.
-
If we get a couple of signings this month. Otherwise that's out as well.
-
To his eternal credit Howe has never resorted to excuses, he's kept expecting to win doesn't matter which side he puts out. In the long term that will look a lot better than it has after the last couple of months.

PSG bought Messi where did that get them?
-
Thread title is outdated. Top 6/7 is still there and I'd be happy with that.
-
It does take some balls and vision to put together a side which passes teams to death putting skill above height and physicality mind. I mean peak Barcelona might just have been money or maybe there was more to it than that?
-
Is he football friends with sunderland fans?

I don't even think Pep's a cunt. He gives us our dues unlike the small minded twat from Germany.
-
Looks like a natural no 8 to me in time.
-
I actually thought he'd messed up that chance by taking it wide rather than cutting across the defender. Just didn't account for the man's genius. I wonder how Real Sociedad feel about that £63m fee now?

I quite like her in small doses, but I haven't watched any True Faith stuff in a while. The witty banter kind of wears thin once the novelty wears off, but ok for the odd tv appearance.
-
I saw that and was thinking, what the fuck has she been watching? He did alright in the end, got more involved in the game and just tried to play his game.
-
We aren't even seeing the real Anthony Gordon, he's been flogged like a horse this season because of injuries. Not that he's complained like, he's just stayed upbeat and got on with it. What a great signing he's been.
-
Not to mention what he did taking us forward for 90 mins going the other way. Maybe if he'd just stayed goalside all game and the players just parked the bus he doesn't concede that goal. But then we don't score two, and we'd probably have conceded six.
-
I don't see how you sort it with our current squad. Maybe play with 12 men.
-
I didn't have much of an opinon of them in the first place tbh.
-
We don't know it's not either.
-
I'm trying to be kind. He gets in good positions to score as well, but doesn't usually score.
-
It's not if it's part of a permanent deal.
-
I thought he looked a bit lost in a couple of recent games letting players run past him which was a concern, but I like how he upped his game today in a game that hard for a midfielder.
-
Pluses for me were that our handful of genuine quality players who were fit and available all stepped up to show their mettle. Isak, Gordon, Trippier, Schar, Botman and Bruno all showed they belonged at this level. When we have 11 of those on the pitch then maybe we beat Man City.
