If they wanted to keep him they can do that easily enough. If they want him sold, then they will take any reasonable offer.
  2. I reckon Sean Dyche would probably chin him despite the Aussie carrying a significant size advantage.
  3. FFP is designed to stop competition, and is actively being enforced to stop us specifically. Spurs and Chelsea must be seething that we charged into the CL despite all that.
  4. He might be a back to basics manager but who else would come out in a shirt in freezing December? He's well hard.
  5. Levy's a businessman first and foremost, if he can get a huge fee for Kane he's going to take it while he can. He'll be thinking Harry's 29, this is might be my last chance to cash in.

Not really. he was a secondary choice if we didn't make the CL is how I read it.
  7. As far as money is concerned, Messi would pay for himself 10x over, just by being here. It would lift Newcastle's profile out of the stratosphere, so I can understand why the money men would look at it. He's still a fantastic player btw, just look at what he did at the World Cup if you are in any doubt. Would he actually want to come here is the first question. Would Howe want him is the other, which might seem like a daft take, but it's not so easy accommodating the world's best player as a squad member. Neither are out of the question tbh.
  8. It's an absolutely bizarre rumour. If there's anything behind it you can only imagine it's the owners wanting to make a statement signing which will lift the brand across the world. I doubt this initiative would have come from Howe. Although tbf it's probably not come from anyone, it's more than likely bullshit.
  9. Gundogan is an absolutely elite player, not sure he's got the headlines he's deserved during his time here for Man City. Really stuck in my mind when Leeds parked the bus against them how he unlocked them twice with two precision strikes within 15 mins. That was the difference when we played them a week later, we couldn't break them down. I'm guessing that's why we are looking at players like Maddison for next season.
  10. Liverpool and Man U are definitely the darlings of the Premier league teams, they are almost treated like royalty compared to the rest. Even Arsenal don't seem to inspire quite the same level of ingratiation from commentators and officials.
  11. They are doubling down their efforts to get him to stay by some accounts, although Barcelona would have some pull for a player who's achieved everything already in England.
  12. I'm not sure you can use Forest biting as any sort of vindication, whoever was in charge of doing their transfer business has been fired. Shelvey and Colback as well. It's like he was an NUFC mole ffs.
  13. Nope. A team is made up of more than just a striker. Weghorst is at Man U now.
  14. Weghorst would have done a similar job IMO.
  15. There was never any hate, it was just that we paid far too much for a really poor player. That resentment has gone now that we managed to claw most of it back.
  16. Yeah, £20-25m sounds about right, maybe could nudge up towards £30m with some appearance clauses and whatnot. Just don't know where these guys are pulling £40-50m fees from, no one will pay that in a million years. Come on guys, if you want to present as serious commentators on NUFC matters, don't talk shite.
  17. Never mind the treble, imagine what a travesty it would be if Man U won the final and they ended up with the double. Ten Hag has done a good job in stopping the rot, but they would be the least convincing double winners of all time if it happened.
  18. I think Arsenal are definitely trying to offload Tierney, and I think we are clearly interested, but would have to be the right price.
  19. He'd be a canny player if the rules were like netball and you weren't allowed to move once the ball was in possession. At least I think those are netball rules.
  20. The Loaded channel lads on youtube are doing a series of videos comparing left backs, and they threw in some Croatian lad called Borna Sosa who plays for Stuttgart and has insane attacking credentials. Maybe he's an option. Not sure I would take them seriously now mind, they seem to think Arsenal will be looking for £40-50m for Tierney, don't know where they pulled that figure from, sounds totally unrealistic.
  21. Can't argue with that. I'm sure he'd be happy to sign a new contract doubling his wages, but we aren't at that stage yet, other superclubs are. That said I doubt he's going anywhere this coming season, so I don't see any point in looking beyond that.
  22. He's got great feet, pace and power for his age. Other than that looks like he's still got some developing to do.
