Someone said in the managers thread that West Ham would be perfect for Brendan Rogers. Have to agree with that, think he would get more out of that squad.
-
I think he'll come on pretty early in the second half if Wilson isn't having much impact. It's just about rotation during a hectic period of games.
-
Feels like a clueless American decision made by someone who doesn't really know much about football and is taking a blind punt bringing a former fans favourite onboard to get them onside. Feels very Mike Ashley.
-
Wilson is hardly a player who is a weak option. It was always likely we'd be using our squad to rotate during a packed schedule over Easter. Joelinton coming in is hardly cause for disappointment either. These have been our best players at various points over the last 12 months.
-
What a player to come off the bench.

Jesus fucking Christ.

If we assume Man U are going to finish top four, then I would say Spurs have to be our biggest rivals simply because they are the ones who are still in touch points-wise, Liverpool are a long way behind so at least we have a very nice cushion there.

Just wondering, how would you argue when refs give some plain disgusting decisions if you weren't allowed to protest it? I'm not suggesting pushing or shoving, but some of the decisions make your blood boil as a spectator, can't imagine how it would feel to get jipped by a bent ref in the white hot atmosphere of a PL match.

Just to give players a rest I would think. Three games in the space of a week, I think there could well be some rotation, or he might start with the same team then use subs early. Can definitely see Willock going on the bench since he was subbed on Sunday feeling his hamstring.

I'm sure there will be lots of teams interested, but none of them will pay £50m. Will be interesting to see where he eventually ends up though, definitely there's a class player in there for the right price.
-
If he wants to go to a London club then that's where he belongs anyway.
-
Not a bad shout, especially since the time for cashing to the max might have passed for Pedro since he's not torn up any trees since the first part of the season, and it looks like Watford aren't getting promoted either. They will have to sell from a position of weakness now, so I guess it just depends how much we rate him.

There must be a decent chance that Leicester could lose two of their best midfielders for free over the next year or so. Tielemans looks like going on a free, and if they continue to demand a silly price for Maddison with his recent injury record, what's the chances he might decide to hang on and take his pick of clubs come January?
-
Not for £50m he won't.

Howe's never played down the chances of CL football either. He won't talk it up, but he's never come out and said we aren't going for it. He's careful what he says, but you can read between the lines he's got CL qualification in his sights.
-
I actually thought they missed wan Bissaka as much as anyone, considering he shackled ASM pretty well in the cup final, and he ran riot against Dalot in this fixture.

If Carlsberg did football weekends.....

That's almost as bad as a defeat having been a goal up against 10 men. Fuck off Spurs, no right to be anywhere near the top 4.
-
This sort of result can really derail a team, certainly might cut short any new leadership bounce.
-
Not sure what you mean, but yeah I would think the idea would be to replace our squad players with better players incrementally.
-
It won't but not too arsed about it. I like him, he's got pace, tenacious in the tackle, and as pointed out already, should have had a couple of assists by now if others had put them away. Not sure about his goal scoring prowess, but you would imagine our scouting network must think he can produce. He brings a lot to the table, good signing for me.
-
That's probably just guesswork tbh, I mean it's just common sense that our budget would be adjusted if we make the CL. If we make the Europa we'll need more bodies regardless.
-
I thought Man U were nailed on top 4 finish before yesterday, but a team that can look that bad is by no means certain of anything. Even if Casimero comes back, who's to say Rashford might not hit a bad run? Think they look a bit vulnerable, and the batterings they got off us and Liverpool must have shook them a bit.
-
He'll get another chance at a PL club at some point. You don't produce the football he was turning out at Brighton by luck. Come on, if the likes of Lampard and Gerrard have been considered talented home grown managers, surely some club will give Potter another crack at it.
