  1. Beginning to look like a terrible deal? Feel sorry for them but whoever is/was in charge of recruitment there needs to be sacked yesterday,
  2. That's not a great look for Mount either tbh, Chelsea are one of the biggest payers in the division, if he'd rather move and get a bigger signing on fee somewhere else, he does come across as a bit mercenary.

Fair enough. Still feels like he's technically limited, and tbh I would rather have a midfielder who can sit allowing Bruno to get forward more since he CAN make decisive passes in the final third, and can also do the box to box stuff as well.

Those are the sort of quality retweets this place is desperately in need of. Top stuff.
  5. It is funny like. Even if there was interest in a player, it's clearly being leaked from either the player's or the selling club's end. Take McTominay for example. Why would Eddie be going round whispering in every journo's ear " by the way, that McTominay, I really fancy him and think I could make him into a £70m player. Let's pay £30m instead of 15!!"
  6. It would be basically 1 a side tbh. Nice if you are on his team and don't feel like working up a sweat though.
  7. McTomi-NOOOO! is nailed on to have a wank game after all the hype from our resident manc trolls this past week. Karma is a bitch lads.
  8. He's not going to leave Arsenal any time soon, your sentiment is right on that, but he's barely past his teenage years at the moment. We've seen in the past very few players stay at one club in the Premier throughout their career. If at some point in his career he gets an offer from one of the big spending clubs to increase his salary by 50% who's to say he won't take it? A career is a not such a long time in football.

Well this is the crux of the matter. I don't have any issue agreeing McTomi'nae would be an upgrade on Longstaff, I would just like to think we can get a better upgrade which would be big six upgrade worthy. That said, I do trust Howe's judgement, if he thinks McTomi'naah would be a good signing, not going to argue.

We've seen that he can score goals in spurts, actually something that Longstaff can do as well. I'm sure he can tackle and press effectively as well - again something Longstaff can do as well. My only question is how good is he in possession? Can he hold the ball? Can he bring it out? Can he pass with precision? Is his first touch good? Why did you pay £60m for a 31yr old Brazilian if the answer to all of those questions is yes?
  11. Just to back up what I said earlier, our top two signings since the takeover were Bruno £40m - Man U paid £60m for a 31 year old in comparison - and Isak for £60m, where to buy a top tier striker these days you are talking £100m at least.
  12. How's it crazy? Player fees have quadrupled since the days you bought many of those you mentioned. We still haven't paid for a top tier player, you probably paid that for half of your team.
  13. Thanks for reminding me, I just unsubcribed now and they offered me a full year subscription for £9.99 if I stayed on. Tbf they made it really easy to unsubscribe and I do appreciate that, some of these sites make you jump through hoops to opt out.
  14. Casimero being out will be good for us no doubt, but considering his replacement is a player who Howe supposedly wants to upgrade our midfield, it's a bit of a piss take to suggest this is going to be anything other than a very tight game. A draw would be the bookie's best bet IMO, but hopefully we will be in the frame of mind to win by any means necessary.
  15. That's funny since the team you will put out will probably have cost four times as much as our side.
  16. Never really known Miggy to be out with injury for a prolonged length of time. In fact I can't recall him having an injury in all his time here tbh. If his leg snapped in half he'd probably be back on the pitch with it wrapped in parcel tape the next week.
  17. On that note, if we are going to make minor changes to our home kit, I've said many times on here, I love Juve's white shorts and socks look. Wouldn't even need to touch our shirt.
  18. Depends what you mean by control. They have ultimate ownership, that much is not really disputed, but I doubt they stick their oar in too much on the actual running of the club. We seem to have hired some very highly rated experts in their fields to do that, in just about every department. Hence Ashworth, Eales, Silverstone and of course Howe just to name a few. Any owner is going to want something back for investing millions of pounds so if there's the odd shirt which looks similar to the Saudi kit then we shouldn't be that shocked.
  19. I don't think 150k is out of the question tbh.
  20. Even though I'm dubious about McTominay, have to say I agree. Never been sold on JWP, can't say I've ever noticed him apart from the dead ball situations. I'm sure he's a tidy enough player, just not really good at anything in particular. At least with McTominay you know you would be getting someone who will press aggressively so he might actually fit the Howe blueprint.
  21. Got to fear they might get a bit of new manager bounce, or even getting rid of the old manager bounce given it's a stroppy character like Conte.

He thought he was Patrick Vieira and Toure rolled into one.
  23. Especially important when you consider international games aren't played at the breakneck pace of EPL matches.
  24. Or wait until we find out if there is any genuine interest or is it just tabloid bollocks.
