  1. I've more or less written him off tbh. It's the story of his time here.
  2. He's shown he's not one to be fucked with mind. It might just have been bad timing for Watford, but turn down the final offer and then it's on to Isak. If anyone thought we were bluffing about not being taken for mugs, they'll know better now.

    Joe Willock

Not sure it's as simple as that, a midfielder's role is a little bit different to a forward's and requires a different skillset. It's a bit similar when people expect a ball playing defender to play in midfield, not quite the same in the maelstrom of a PL midfield.

    Joe Willock

Willock is a midfielder though, I don't see how Pedro or Isak are a replacement for him. Surely they would be threatening Miggy's RW spot more likely?

A quick dip of the toe into this thread only confirms how mental this site is. Absolutely bonkers.

This is why I have resisted voting in this thread so far.

    Alexander Isak

He doesn't really look like a replacement of Wilson mind, most of the footage I've seen he seems to cut in from wide. More of an Henry type?

Still to be confirmed but hopefully. Would be a bit shan if we had a bunch of 6-7 footers all heading the ball tamely towards the corner flag.

We need a DM as well though, so in an ideal world it would be two more.
  10. Well that's fine if he genuinely doesn't want him, would be a shame if we missed out because we can't spend that much wedge on two marquee signings in one window. Actually make that three if you include Botman.
  11. Always made sense if we got the chance to sign our primary targets we should do it regardless of whether it's now or two years time.

Although none of them are that much of a threat at set pieces mind.
  13. Same here, but watching videos of them they both seem very similar in style, but Isak is obviously a more polished finisher from what footage is available. I suppose it depends if Pedro is willing to come as a squad player for now, or might prefer to be first choice for some secondary team on Merseyside.
  14. Moyes talking about how many positions Paqueta can play and him having 30 caps for Brazil. Just shut it until he's signed you pillock.
  15. Moyes is talking about Paqueta publicly in front of the cameras, he must be pretty confident of signing him. Either that or he's just fucking clueless. Not a great sign.
  16. That is a bit cruel, even worse if he has to mope his way to Everton instead. I'm rooting for the lad he still ends up here.
  17. He's a proper DM from all reports, but also one who's insanely good at carrying the ball, although still very young.

Not necessarily. Isak plays across the front line, so could feasibly play with Wilson. In any case for us to progress, we need to have more than one top class striker in our squad. This is more likely just a case of us moving one step closer to the top 6.
  19. But if it's true we made an enquiry for Manu Kone, maybe a DM is more the priority following Shelvey's injury?
  20. This. Everything is out the window right now, fuck knows what's next.

Just booked a 3 day holiday in Spennymoor.
  22. I think the pull is more for continental types from France or Italy, not so much for South Americans. Definitely not for Paqueta whose already been here wearing his toon top.
  23. Honestly doubt he gives a shit about London, and West Ham can't give more wages than us. If he goes there it's because we aren't in for him, at least not this window. Or maybe we go for Madison instead.

The only team I can think of who'd pay £60m for a 30yr old is Man U.
