It got flagged last week by some youtuber and I mentioned it here.

Especially since he's been performing year after year for Spurs whether they are doing well or comparatively struggling. There seems to be this perception that it's okay to acknowledge him as a wonderful player, but somehow he should never be seriously considered as the best in the league.

Plus Miggy gives 100% in every game, regardless of end product. He might not be good enough for a top team, but he's still one of my favourite squad members because I know he'll put a shift in every day of the week. Grealish on the other hand always seems like an under-achieving entitled twat.

I don't think replacing Burn is a priority, and I doubt anyone else does either. But we will look to buy in the best central defenders around if they become available.

I see the Diaby links have resurfaced. That Baz guy from Youtube was playing Diaby videos last week and he seemed pretty convinced it was a goer. I mean you would have to be to start wanking over his videos on a public channel unless there's something in it.

Yes it's frustrating to watch other teams take advantage, but we stayed up, I guess we'll have to bite our lip and realise this is a long game. Might not prevail next season, but over the next 2-3 hopefully we'll see significant progression which will build for the long term.

Do you think Villa are playing a dangerous game making these sort of signings? It could be another Everton where they have a good season then it deteriorates quite quickly. I don't know how many of their squad are close to 30 having said that. I mean we paid £25m for Wood and he's pushing that, but I guess we were desperate at the time. I think Burn is 29 as well?

That was mid season tbf when Sevilla were still competing for CL places. There's nothing to stop us matching the fee if we want him. I'm guessing now we have Dan Burn we probably washed our hands of that one now.

That's weird, I have almost zero confidence in him scoring a goal when he goes up for corners or free kicks. He seems pretty feeble in the air for someone who's close to 7ft.

I think Burn's a very good defender, just maybe a bit short of the really top level. He does get done when he comes up against the very best. That said, he's fairly reliable for the most part, would take a good defender to replace him.

Quite encouraged that he is moving his family up here from Dorset, if nothing else it shows how badly he wants to be here now that we have a new regime in charge.

Probably setting yourself up for disappointment then, seems like some of the biggest clubs in Europe will be chasing his signature.
