Well they are backing our women's team, I doubt they even have a women's team in SA. They at least have the sense not to try to shove their medieval culture down our throats, maybe we should accept that it will take some time before we can shove ours down theirs.

I kind of agree with him about the badge, I think they could have left that unchanged and it wouldn't have spoiled the look of the new shirt too much. But when you find out he's a fervent Chelsea supporter, and probably enjoyed the best years under Abramovich, I just switched off. Fuck off man.

It's a part of the Saudi flag, not part of this new strip so that's being deliberately ingenuous in my book. Also I don't watch too many of these NUFC youtube channels, but I quite like Alex Hurst's TF one, it's not that long, and it's usually quite funny.

Absolutely love that this cunt is on the same page as some of the other fannies who are always twisting on here. No doubt some of them share his views on other stuff as well although they won't say it openly.
-
All sounds about right, nicely summed up.

Really like Schmeichel as a keeper, although not sure about signing a 35 yr old. Still he doesn't look it, and as of now he's still one of the best keepers in the Premier IMO.

Walk on. Waalk o-o-o-n. With faith all but gone Try LFC mate, they are a canny bunch.
-
I think Frank will win it, but really considering where we were when he joined, and the fact he's had to make history in recovering from such a position, it really should be Howe getting this accolade. Especially considering he did it without two of his blue chip players.
-
Definitely. No getting away from the fact that it links us to SA pretty visually, I guess we'll just have to batten down the hatches and accept the inevitable criticism coming our way. I do like the kit though, think it's very smart if we disregard the SA factor.

Nicely done. The lad's ratings will have shot up 50% just from one sentence.
-
No one believed you'd really walk away from your team tbh, you were just disillusioned, now the good times are threatening to come back round you'll be glued to every game from now to the end of the season. CL under Conte? Ooooh!
-
It's like some people still think we are run by Ashley.
-
Fromm Yewrup marra coz wey vurted Brexit didn't wa?? FTM.
-
If that were the case I wouldn't blame him. I don't really take much notice of Eddie Howe downplaying our ambitions next season, that's just smart management, I'm pretty sure behind closed doors the owners and management will have far bigger ambitions, and I expect to see this reflected in our pursuit of much higher quality players in the summer. It won't be easy at this stage though, obviously we will be going up against bigger clubs and we might not always win the battle for signatures.
-
Still think a marauding LB would really up our passing game as well.
-
Yeah there's nothing to stop him suggesting players who we should go for either, no way Brighton could prove he's done so, especially if he uses public phones Soprano style.
-
Keegan was the one who could talk you into a hard on, but Eddie does it in a slightly more measured fashion, but it's alluring in it's own way.
-
Yeah that would be perfect tbh.
-
I agree about Joelinton, I think long term he's not the answer, but not sure if Bruno would work as a defensive midfielder either, I think Philips with Bruno would be a better fit, as Mandoon has said he's more of the physical playbreaker type whereas Bruno can operate in all areas.
-
Agree, if we were looking for someone to be the perfect midfield partner for Bruno he would fit the bill. I know there's talk of Paqueta but in the PL you would wonder if him and Bruno would have that physicality required.
-
Yeah I can see that, they both have their own strengths. I think Philips is used more centrally isn't he?
-
Same here. The Henderson comparison is apt too, people used to wonder why Liverpool paid so much for someone who seemingly just ran about a lot, but he's non-stop for 90 mins. One of those players who doesn't do anything flash for the most part, but does everything right at a high tempo.
-
I do get that, FWIW I still consider him a reliable goalscorer, just I would much rather have gone for the pacy type like Abraham or Nunez. That said, if we brought in Ekiteke as well, that would address the pace problem.
-
But we acknowledged he seemed ok, by the same token he refused to acknowledge the Sunderland supporters in general hate us. Just because he was being reasonable on the face of it, doesn't make that untrue. Nowt against the town or the people who aren't football fans, but the supporters of SAFC don't like NUFC. And he should have owned up to Brexit glee on Wearside, it happened, might as well own it.
-
Sunderland do have some things going for them tbf, they are passionate about their club and a good fanbase is what makes it a football town. They are just too insular to be attractive to really good players with their Brexit dreams though, and pathetic attempt to copy the NUFC badge design and Benfica stadium name.
