If Shola scores it'd be so typically Newcastle. Was brought to see 'The Boat That Rocked' by the lass a week ago, haven't been able to stop singing a modified version of this song about Oba. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZofFpizK04 Just change 'Elenor G' TO 'Obafemi' in the chorus.

I'd like it to be Guthrie, for some reason. I think it'll be Martins or Steven Taylor should one emerge.
-
I'd kill for fucking 36 points, nevermind 46.
-
Gonna be playing golf at 11, should be a nice way to pass the inevitable agony of the day leading up to kick-off.
-
Do you really find it staggering though, considering what manner of dickheads the people running the club have been proven to be time and time again?
-
How depressing is it that Nicky Butt is our biggest threat from set-pieces btw?
-
Ginola for me though, Robert could score or create something from absolutely nothing but when he didn't find that bit of magic during the 90 minutes it was more or less pointless having him on the pitch. Ginola got more involved in general play and gave you that outlet as a ballcarrier that you really need. Happily have either of them back, mind.

His biggest failing is that he can't read the game worth a piss. He doesn't see what's about to happen before the players around him do, something you just need to be able to do at the top level of the game. As a result his movement is generally directionless and ineffective. It's why he doesn't get in behind the defense anywhere near as much as he should, or get on the end of a great number of chances in the box. That failing, along with his woeful first touch, are what and likely always will prevent him being a truly top striker. Still if we stay up I'd keep him over any other striker on our books, all day fucking long.

Aye, cos anyone who hadn't read this thread would know exactly what you're talking about straight away.

ElDiablo's audtion was desperate man, almost felt wrong having a wank to it.
-
I directed it man. Trying to get into the movie business, have to start somewhere.
-
Same. It's a pretty decent dig at Ashley without being too aggressive about it, doesn't come off as too whingy but gets the message across. The Kinnear one is clever, but it's Ashley whose to blame for this. All your doing with that is having a dig at a man who had a heart attack recently and is a mere pawn in this whole affair, tbh.

So then, who'd give Martin O'Neill a handjob in exchange for gauranteed survival and Shearer staying as manager? If you don't do it then we get relegated and Shearer leaves. Nobody will ever find out what you did. How much, precisely, does this club mean to you?
-
I think you've missed the point Pretty sure he just didn't read the article.
-
Ideally he'd stay, yeah. But it's pretty unrealistic to expect it though should an established Prem team come in for him. We should make a point of not getting relegated this Sunday, he'll probably stay then.
-
Seems the best thread to post this in. Can anyone offer any sort of reasonable explanation as to what the point of this is?
-
Aye, probably the best mix of humour and blame that you can get that. Picture of Ashley somewhere on the banner as well. Make it happen Crumpy!
-
Had he not been made of biscuits, I'd pick Dyer over Oba. Could use his pace, had great movement and his first touch was quality. Wouldn't get the goals Martins would up front, but his contributions to the team overall would be greater. Crying out for a player like Dyer right now we are.
-
That's because he doesn't have a clue what to do with it, and can't dribble worth a shite. Not sure how that has anything to do with his quickness though.
-
An article in the Mirror today said much the same thing. I did chuckle though when he counted Ji-Sung "guaranteed starter in the final" Park in amongst the kids. What I wouldn't give for a player like him. He'd be hated here. Another grafter with no end product!
-
Is there anything that both Owen and Martins are good at? Or bad for that matter? Seems like they took the perfect striker and divided him by two, and landed us with two sort of incomplete beings that promise so much yet ultimately just can't overcome their inadequacies. A couple of footballing Edward Scissorhands', if you will.
-
How about they win at the weekend and we won't hunt them down and break their legs?
-
Can't understand people who don't watch. Sure, it's torture, but isn't it a massive part of what being a fan is all about? Living every kick, every twist and turn in the crucial games? Sure, we'll probably go down on Sunday. But if we pull it off and win at Villa Park it'll go down as one of the great games in our club history, something we'll remember always. I sure as hell wouldn't fancy looking back at that and thinking "Ah yeah, I was in a field somewhere without me phone, admiring the trees."
-
Aye, be a bit miffed if Brummie actually hopes Villa win this. Have we meant nothing to you?
-
They need to direct it at Ashley though. 'Epic Fail' is too general. Also a bit too 'lolz on teh internets' if ya ask me.
