  1. Think we'll see him in for Longstaff next game. Longstaff was good today but Tonali was quality against Chelsea by all accounts (I missed the game) so feels like he should keep his place. Was very telling that when he came on today he went to the centre of the midfield trio, think that's the plan going forward and I can't wait to see it.
  2. Brereton Diaz didn't get on so his streak continues even though Southampton won

Definitely want to see him RW until we are able to address the position with a signing. Ideally in January, but it may have to wait until summer to get the right player. That said, I think ultimately he'll want to play on the left and you can't blame him at all. Clear path to being an England regular in that position and he's shown that he can get goals and assists from there and it's probably his best position.
  4. Class today, best performance of the season from us. More importantly, we look to have found a change up in terms of our setup. Midfield has looked stagnant for a long time and now we have the Joe and Joe combo on the left and the switch of Tonali playing in the middle of the three man midfield and Bruno pushed forward. Notice that Tonali went central when he came on today. Cracking result and best I've felt about us in a while

Tonali getting his yellow after some of what had gone before was ridiculous, the ball was there to be won and he tried to do so. Wasn't a particularly dangerous looking break or a deliberate foul, was a horrendous yellow.
  6. There's also the added dimension that having Hall at LB could bring to that Willock and Joelinton link up. Previously they've generally had Burn at LB behind them, they could be even more effective with Hall getting forward to offer something on the overlap.
  7. Think the Joelinton and Willock link up on the left gives our midfield three so much more structure. Longstaff been really good too but I do think that Joe double act is a link between our midfield three and front three that we really struggle with most of the time. It also helps a lot that we don't have Murphy on the field as he's an utter passenger when we're in possession.
  8. Murphy would be just about to attempt a cross right now.
  9. I'm also shocked that they're talking about the biggest story of the week.

    Callum Wilson

Nice to hear he's building his load. A little patience can lead to a much more satisfying sensation in these situations, I've found.
  11. Not true and also not really a great response to that post even if it was?
  12. Decent manager takes the heat for his players, generally.
  13. Just wait for someone else to make a funny comment and then like that, Branko. Your attempts to be funny yourself are as bad as my penalties xx
  14. If only we'd had a manager or something to sort out these details before the tournament. I'm a poor finisher, always have been

    Tosin Adarabioyo

Seems to have started one game in the league and come on as a sub twice, one of those appearances lasting one minute. Has played all their Conference League games.
  16. The pint I had was absolutely despicable, if we're being honest. Almost ruined the evening.
  17. Hoping Beren can keep taking the heat, mask my dodgy ass record
  18. I get in tomorrow afternoon, reckon we find out where these warm up games are happening, have a wee scout. And sure if we happen to have any broken glass on us we could always sprinkle it around the place where they're playing.
  19. I feel bad that, as player of the match last time you played, you're not on their team. It would be an honour to see you wear the red shirt.
  20. They could basically turn the Premier League into the Super League by allowing more investment. It's by far and away the most popular league in the world. Had the likes of Forest, Villa and our owners been allowed to be aggressive with investment we'd have all built much better squads by now. At the same time, the established top teams would have had to spend more to stay ahead of the pack and improved their squads too. A talent like Olise leaving the league isn't a good thing for the brand and wouldn't have happened if teams at the top could be more aggressive in the transfer market. I think part of it is ultimately a pride thing. It's more palatable for the likes of Liverpool to imagine being a midtable club in a league full of clubs like Real Madrid and Bayern Munich than it is to have clubs like Newcastle or Villa push on and possibly surpass them.
