  1. Jesus, what sort of fucking moron does that?
  2. Stuck with Premier Sports here, Damien Delaney reckons Howe will be hounded out by the fans before Christmas. God I forgot how much I hated dipshit football pundits... sometimes I'm not entirely sure getting back into football is wise
  3. First goal was shocking from a PL keeper, kind of goal you'd see at youth level where the kid who's shite at football has been forced to be the keeper. Think a good keeper saves the third too tbh. Deflected shot so it's hard to say he "should" save it but it's at a good height and distance from him and not exactly a rocket, most PL keepers save that IMO.
  4. Can't get my head around people not choosing Shearer. Absolute fucking lunacy. Guy was one of the best players in the world in his prime and people are choosing dependable defenders and midfielders instead of him
  5. Shearer Ferdinand Beardsley Might as well stay up in style.
  6. I'm hoping hot air balloons will make a big comeback.
  7. 2 is definitely Souness. Think 4 is Roeder. The others I don't have any recollection of but 3 sounds like something Pardew would say. 1 I'll guess McClaren.
  8. I remember when we signed him, there was definitely a player there. One that I'd hope Howe will get a lot out of.
  9. Is it poor form to keep the head down for a year, wait until we've bought loads of good players and THEN start watching again?
  10. I'm considering giving it a miss honestly, the mood in here is off-putting. Got to admire all of you lot who stayed watching under Bruce.
  11. Was announced like ten minutes before your post, people are in the game thread losing their minds about it
  12. Trying to get back into football is confusing as fuck, haven't seen us play in a couple of years. Why do we hate the team exactly?
  13. One thing to be quite excited about is the fact that Emery clearly had decided to come here before he changed his mind. For a manager of his pedigree at a CL club to have been so close to willing to jump ship to our current squad and league position does indicate that there's gonna be a lot of investment and funds available for the new manager. Let's hope Howe makes the most of it. Any of the things I've seen or read make it very easy to root for the guy.
  14. Will be quite positive if it's Howe. Young manager who has done some good things and looks like he has potential to grow. Should hopefully be able to make a quick impact which is important given our current plight. Important to remember that this doesn't necessarily have to be the manager that takes us to the CL and winning trophies. So much change needs to happen at the club before that's something we can realistically aim for, if he comes in and keeps us up and gets us looking like a team with some semblance of a plan while we rebuild the squad for a couple of years that'll be an important job done. Maybe he'll take a step forward as a manager at a club with more resources and become a top boss. If so, great. If not, that'll become evident in time and we'll hopefully be better able to attract a Ten Hag or Emery level manager by then.
  15. I mean, why the fuck are they letting Lee Charnley do anything?
  16. Always thought he looked like a vampire, would be pleased to get him in.
  17. Your attitude towards him from your first response was pretty hostile, it's not particularly helpful to creating any sort of worthwhile discussion.
  18. Ten Hag would be an absolute dream. Might be worth putting together a dossier?!
  19. Is there any suggestion that they'll sack him? Seems a crazy notion.
  20. My vote is for Dan Campbell. PAFM https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ng8TV6buqqM
  21. Aye, completely checked out when Rafa left. Feel like I'd have hated him so much if I'd been paying attention and I definitely think he's a slimy cretin who doesn't give a shit about NUFC... I mostly find him funny though. Just the absolute state of him.
  22. This is all very lovely. Gonna be great having someone who doesn't look like an aborted Orc standing on the sideline.
  23. Yeah, very much in favour of getting in a manager who's going to play attacking football. Bring in some exciting young talent, make football fun for NUFC fans again. In a couple of years when we've built a really strong squad we might have to look at Howe or Fonseca or whoever and assess if they have what it takes to actually push on and win things, maybe at that point someone a bit more defensively adept might be the way to go. We don't have to hire our manager for the next decade right now.
