So he's about as effective as Peter crouch. 1 in 2 should be the minimum for a striker up front for England, given how many piss easy games we play.
-
Smalling? More like Bigging iyam.
-
So inevitable. Nee wingers, lets just pretend were playing 2 up front and shove a striker out there.

I'm the opposite, if that team see's the light of day in the Euros i wouldn't be surprised if we don't get out of the groups again. I basically just wanted Vardy and Kane upfront, with Dier and Alli played in a sensible manner. It's not like I love the team, but I don't see any great options behind the attack, and I really don't want Alli pushed up that far.

i actually dont mind the team selection. this is a first.

Just sent an email to my entire company to see if I can run such a thing there. Expecting a large amount of razzing in return. Hold me.

Same. 5 player me.

I was under the impression teams normally play with ~11 people, but I'll take your word for it

Which is still significantly better than not qualifying until they changed the rules to allow the also rans in.

Raging alcoholic is adored by Irishes. Quelle Surprise.

De Bruyne is better than any player England have had in the last 200 years

Only team with a 100% win record in qualifiers marra.

If Sturridge was bang in form and fully fit, I'd start him with Kane. He's a better player than Vardy. As he's not fit, hasn't played in the recent friendlies and has had a mixed season on the whole, Vardy starts. He can still be a big asset off the bench though IMO, even if not 100% fit. I like Sturridge, but as you say, he's out of form, and semi injured. You say that england are making the same mistakes again by picking a player just because he's at a big team, but I would make the point that they're making the same mistake again by picking a half-injured player who is out of form, purely because of his reputation. I want form/confidence/health in my squad, and therefore Rashford is the preferable option. Although I would've been fine with bringing neither tbh.
-
... you'd play Sturridge ahead of Kane and Vardy then.............?
-
I much prefer the Rashford pick over an injured Sturridge. He's the 3rd choice striker at best and has a knock. He's expendable. EXPEND HIM.
-
So we've got Vardy, Kane, Rooney, Sturridge (inj) and Rashford that can play upfront? And we play 1 striker. Or sometimes if we're lucky, one striker with another one shoehorned into a wing position? I'll be shocked if either "Studge" or Rashford see a minute of playing time.

Can't blame West Ham for chronic mismanagement at Milan like. Even if they are West Ham.
