Sounds like they did tbh: "Immediately following the Premier League fixture against West Ham United on Sunday the Club went through the normal communication channels to advise the Senegalese Federation that both Papiss and Demba Ba would not be available for the international friendly match between Niger and Senegal scheduled for Wednesday, 14th November 2012, due to injury." No idea what 'normal communication channels' are in this case but we're claiming we got in touch. I'm not convinced - weren't most people of the impression Cisse would be off on international duty? I don't know the facts either of course, but even if Senegal did have a grudge against us, they'd need something to work with in order to lodge this claim, some failure/incompetence in procedure. Not sure of the exact regulations tbh, I'd need to have a little dig for them. They've obviously got FIFA on their side though so there's not much we can do in all honesty. From a completely selfish point of view I hope he tells them to fuck off and retires from International football. You actually can't retire from international football. They can pick you anytime they want. I've heard that before but surely it's bollocks. It amounts to fucking slavery- he doesn't want to do and has no contract saying he has tot but is forced to. It's not even slightly enforceable. I remember Makelele being called up after he quit when he didn't want to play anymore but was forced to. That's why I'm saying it. I'm not sure if FIFA clarified the situation after that. Maybe they did and you're allowed to quit. Aye that's the example I was going to use. I do recall that. I imagine Makelele didn't kick up enough of a stink- I seem to recall the French manager and Mourinho arguing about it and him being caught in the middle. If I was a footballer, I would refuse to play international football. I'd then sue the crap out of anyone who tried to make me. -

Because the NUFC official twitter said it was four four two? Because the NUFC official twit is allowed into team tactic meetings? If it's 4-4-2 it will be with Hatem and Demba up front surely? With Sammy right and Fergie left. Which makes it a bit more fluid. -
International football is a joke and long has been. In what other profession would a entity that has no contract with a person be able to stop an employee of a company working for said company.
-
Could be a huge blessing if he tells them to fuck off and retires.

There's a pub right next to South Kensington tube station that will definitely have it on. They usually have 3 or 4 games on. Can't recall the name but if you come out of the station and turn right, its the first pub you see on. Opposite a chicken cottage! -
Did exactly the same thing! She's an Arsenal fan and looked at me like a mad man. I'm going to have some fun teaching her to love Shola.

Phil Jagielka probably thought the same when he came on at Everton. Then Shola schooled him with a majestic leaping chest pass. -

Why the fuck did he travel? He went off injured against Liverpool and was clearly injured against West Ham. International football should fuck off like- massive waste of time and all it does it fuck with million pound assets. -

Keep the thread updated if you get one, I'm still tempted to go in the home end. I emailed them to try to blag it. Said I was in Bruges on business and wanted to see a game. They said they flat out won't sell to anyone who is English for this game. -

Do you know the rules like ? The ref doesn't have to prove intent, its his opinion. Its all about the intent in his opinion, there doesn't have to contact. Its a shit rule i give you but its the rule all the same. My debate is therefore that the ref's opinion is wrong!
-
1. It's not a red- no contact, no proven intent., Just that muppet Suarez crying and acting like a twat. 2. It's Pardew's fault? Right up there with the most idiotic things I've ever read on the internet.
-
Pipe down. No one is interested.

Fuck me this guy is lucky. Not even on the bench and two injuries in 30 mins means he's on the pitch. He'll probably do ok and be in the team for the next 3 months.
-
Looks to me like he's put on some bulk and lost speed due to this. Its helpful if he's playing in the middle but not when he's wide.
-
Cheers for ruining my night.
-
I think it's more likely he was injured and he's being eased back. As i recall he wasn't even on the bench against Bordeaux while he came on a sub in Martimo after the Everton game. I doubt it was a punishment thing.
-
Great post. Agree completely. While you mention the 'basics', I would add that their match intellgence is very poor. Both often make poor decisions outside of the box and they really operate as instinctive players.
-
Out of the Norn Iron squad injured according to Ryder on twitter.
-
I'd quite like to see him in a tucked in right midfield position. He's shown very good crossing ability, he's quick and we know he could drop in nicely while Santon bombed on.
