  1. He gets no stick on a match day so it's not like he's crap because of the pressure from the fans. Getting behind him isn't going to help him improve as a player unfortunately.
  2. How many more games is it before we're allowed to say he's not good enough?
  3. Unfortunately we need an Anderlecht win to help protect our position in pot 3 of the Europa League draw.
  4. Douglas is a muppet of the highest order. Kept telling everyone we wouldn't sign Ba as his knee was shot. Told us all we wouldn't sign a striker in January which we did. He knows about the same as we know from following foreign newspapers.
  5. Whether you're a fan of Larsson or not, he contributed 7 goals and a good number of assists last year. So they've replaced Larsson with Johnson who will likely not have the same end product. They've replaced Bendtner with Fletcher. Fletcher scored 12 in 32 last year, Bendtner scored 8 in 29. So not a massive change in their side last year.
  6. I'm a little bit opposed to committing fully to this 4-3-3. It was nice but we do need to be able to fall back on 4-4-2 if we get found out. We currently have the players to play 4-3-3 anyway. HBA, Ba, Marveaux, Sammy, Amalifitano, Obertan can all play out to varying degrees. Up front, we only have 3. I also really think Carroll could be a huge asset in Europe. European sides may struggle to handle him if we use him correctly.

You kidding about Dawson right? I'm not sure he was but i just chose to turn a blind eye to it Of course I was kidding!!

Dawson would be brilliant at right back. And why exactly is Dempsey swapping Fulham for Sunderland?
  9. First of all, I hate this 'scapegoat' crap. Players get criticised if they aren't good enough. Perch and Best are prime examples of players who performed at a level that was good enough and the criticism stopped. No one expects these players to be world beaters but the expectation that they learn from their mistakes is there. Perch and Best did this and despite having massive limitations, became cult heroes. Simpson hasn't improved in 3 years. Second of all, he was ok yesterday which is why the fact that he hid for their goal is frustrating. He constantly asks somebody else to do his defensive work and hides with the obvious plan being to keep himself exempt from any blame. It's a disgusting attitude really and not really much of a surprise when you hear some of the quotes he comes out with.
  10. Quite a lot of these played on Wednesday night. Might be a bit more tired than Cardiff?
  11. Would people be happy with van der Wiel at this stage?
  12. I don't think either Abeid or Bigi are good enough for the premier league, at the moment. Marveaux, Gosling and Vuckic play in different positions too. I think he would be brilliant for us. Plus he covers left back and right back.
  13. "The 23-year-old Anita – who can cover both full-back areas – was looked at again by Sunderland over the weekend. And the reports that were submitted back to Wearside are believed to be glowing." That conversation with O'Neill would be brilliant. 'Has he played for me before?' 'Does he play in England?' 'Is he a centre half that I can play out of position at full back?' No? Fuck off then.
  14. Oh FFS This is how: Oh my god! They made a statement! It must be true!!!
  15. Our two most creative players are Ben Arfa and Cabaye. In a 4-5-1/4-3-3 they play further up the pitch than they do in a 4-4-2. Both of them showed they are far more effective in a 4-3-3 so 4-3-3 has to be the way forward for me. Still though, if Demba's not happy playing on the left, I guess the best thing to do is change the whole team to accommodate him.
  16. This is it. If there are so many better, cheaper alternatives available then why wouldn't we go for them instead? Are people seriously suggesting that we've suddenly decided to throw away all our principles and blow a load of money (that might mean we can't do business in other positions) on someone who we aren't sure is good enough? If we're saying 'trust the scouts/board' then why not trust them on this? People expecting NUFC to carry on with their brilliant dealings in the transfer market. Says a lot that getting £20m for a two-year loan doesn't measure up. Its not even a 2 year loan! Its an 18 month loan with 4 months rehab thrown in!
  17. Brady and Sullivan slated him when he left. No way he's going back.
  18. Unlikley we'll sign Chucho. He was refused a work permit to sign permanently for Birmingham because he refused to learn English while he was here. I doubt the hearing will go differently next time!
  19. Euston we have a problem....MO is being a tight cunt again! Twat. I came into Euston last night. Wish he was on the same train as me.
  20. http://video01.kanal8.de:1935/sachsenfernsehenlive/Ug4wic7Hf21mEidKRMBLb621GMGBHhWC/playlist.m3u8 This is what I got from the source when I looked at a cached page. Mean anything to anyone?
  21. Imagine if we sell Simpson and sign Debuchy on the same day. Not sure I'll be able to handle it.
  22. Those quotes from Pardew piss me off big time. If Demba wants to play through the middle, tell him to do one. He's not as good as Cisse and we're miles better playing 4-5-1. If we play 4-4-2 next year just to suit Demba, it's going to be absolutely ridiculous.
  23. http://www.talksport.co.uk/radio/andy-goldsteins-sports-bar/120707/hickman-ba-might-leave-newcastle-berbatov-won%E2%80%99t-join-176053 Shittest interview ever? What the fuck is Michael Gray (I assume its that twat) yammering on about? Being linked with Berbatov and Kaka? Muppet.
