With his style of play of course he will lose the ball occasionally but second half Obertan was scared to take on the winger and i dont think Jonas had the acceleration to get behind their full ball. We rarely got behind their defence today, they was a solid unit and Sammy didn't really do anything when he came on. I'm not saying I'd play Sammy...I'd sold all Ameobi's at once if possible! For the first thing I would change our formation as we currently have only one decent striker(BA)...I'd choose HBA as the first player in the team sheet any day if we would play him as an attacking playmaker just behind BA

Exactly. What good is pace when you stop running, let the opposition player catch up and start doing step overs. Maybe he's trained with Cronaldo too long..? Ronaldo can do it with pace...

Very good first half...Santon looked good going forward and pretty solid defensively as well. Obertan very frustrating...he should release the ball way much quicker and cut down the stupid step overs! Only goals were missing and at this rate Demba will certainly find the back of the net rather sooner than later but later is fine as Swans definitely don't look like scoring today!

Didn't see Norwich game and generally I haven't been too impressed by Obertan so far with an exception being the ManU game but Ben Arfa hasn't done anything to deserve a starting spot either. Defo HBA has been one of the biggest disappointments this season I think!

Can you believe Raylor has played every minute of our 13 games in the league so far? And out of position? While one Davide Santon our most expensive summer signing and Italian international has managed to get subbed in in one game totalling 13 minutes on the pitch! Left back might not be his most preferred position but no doubt he still would do better out there than Raylor after City game...

Not exactly a great match but we did what we had to...good points considering that Britannia Stadium hasn't been too good venue for us. The game should have been over already at the end of the first half and Stoke have only keeper Asmir Begovic to thank to for staying in so long! What on earth are Stoke doing? If there wasn't Pennant and Ethrington Stoke's starting eleven average height must be fucking gigantic! Compared to early season performances Ba is totally another player. For example that situation where Shawcross injured himself how fast Ba looked there when he stole the ball. Cabaye didn't really impress last night but he should have been rested in the cup match. He's been playing too much. Really interesting to see us being tested properly at the end of the month when we visit at CoM stadium and Old Trafford and start of December when Chelsea pay us a visit. Taylor and Colo must remain their current standard of play which has been nothing short of impressive IMO.

Definitely no need to play Cabaye, Jonas, Coloccini or Tiote. Give them all a rest as I don't think this cup can be a priority. It's maybe the shortest way to Europe but not really worth it as the price money isn't that good and it only leads to Europa League qualification! I'd like to see Marveaux, Vuckic, Santon, Abeid, Ranger and Ferguson all given a game tomorrow
