  1. This please... Newcastle in for Manchester City TRIO Date: 18th May 2014 at 9:15 am Written by: Tom Jones | Comments (0) Sinclair and RodwellThe Express is reporting that Newcastle United will make a move to sign Manchester City outcast Jack Rodwell this summer, with the former Everton star looking to kick start his career again. The 23-year-old has struggled to make his mark in the north-west, partly due to the strength of City’s squad, but also due to the injuries suffered by the young England international. Rodwell played less than 10 times for the Premier League champions last season, but the defensive midfielder still has much to offer to a top flight team. Signed for £12 million two years ago, City will look to recoup as much of that as they can and a return to Roberto Martinez’s Everton could well be on the cards. With Man City being recently hit by the UEFA Financial Fair Play rules, it is not just Rodwell that Newcastle are eyeing up, with Micah Richards and Scott Sinclair also of interest. If Rodwell’s career has stalled, then Richards’s has go into reverse and Sinclair’s has gone so far backwards that not even a loan spell at West Brom could change its course. This Man City trio tick Alan Pardew’s buy British box for this summer, but will the north-east prove to be an attractive destination for any of these outcasts?

Something terribly wrong with our coaching staff? Last player to break through from the reserves or academy? A.Armstrong hasn't done that yet! or Dummett. Quite a few promising youngsters have been bought but none of them aren't even close to the first team or ever will be...is it the so called developement squad that isn't doing their job?
  3. I think it's not De Jong being so bad but Pardew just can't get anything out of the players at the moment! Still I wouldn't pay 8 million for him after this loan
  4. Don't know why I keep thinking that something will happen. Too late...Martinez isn't available anymore

What is Mackems points average per game with Poyet? Worse than Di Canios?

    Steven Taylor

Quite expensive for a backup player. Willo has a half of Stevie's wage only if not even less. Taylor must be on one the best wages at the club I guess. I'd get rid of him while we still can get something for him!

Mehdi Abeid just scored twice for PAO in Greek Super League win against Xanthi. Their 2nd best scorer now
  8. Was it an offside instead? many players seemed to be waving at assistants direction...
  9. We should get a feeder club in the Central Europe. Maybe Holland or Belgium...It's a big step for younger players to spend a season abroad on a loan deal. It would mature them a lot for sure. Belgium would be a good standard for our club and their youth development seems be top class. Chelsea have a good working system with Vitesse Sound a bit weird that no clubs are interested of England youth team players? I'd say League 2 is too low level for our reserves but no doubt it would be better anyway than playing at youth competitions or sitting on 1st teams bench...
  10. Surely we win with a poor performance and Pardew can keep his job. Can't wait to hear his post-match comments how great the team played under such a pressure!
  11. Remy made the difference but I'm pretty sure Shola will start the next game as well...that's how good Pardew is!
  12. How many long balls were played during the last half an hour when we actually looked a decent team? Not that many! So much more dangerous when we kept the ball on the ground and played it fast forward! Even Cisse looked way more dangerous
  13. Great....did he play in 2 games for them? In case he'll be forced to play in an official game for us(let's say injury or something) he cannot be send on loan again, right? At least for another 12 months. Total waste but can you expect anything else from our management?
  14. Not very impressive performance according to match stats! Possession 52-48 Shots 19-14 Corners 4-4 Was it really that bad against a league2 team? Worrying comments about our so called first team players like Y-M, Gouffran etc Not exactly a morale booster for the team as it should have been a far more easier victory. Pardew can't turn it around I guess(not surprise though)
  15. Carling Cup is the one we should play with rotation team like Arsenal and ManU do. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if Pardew is already saying players are tired of playing so much in the recent weeks and still pick the best possible starting XI(if he's any clue what that is)! I'd go for Elliott Santon Willo Y-M Haidara(if's not fit...then Dummett) Gosling Bigirimana Vuckic Obertan Marveaux Sammy

    Alan Pardew

Name a player who has actually improved under Pardew's time here? Can't name one myself! That's a worrying fact indeed! And we're supposed to have talented youngsters and the developement squad

    Alan Pardew

How about Sami Hyypiä from Leverkusen? Done great job so far without any sort of coaching experience. Would definitely improve our defensive play just by showing up. I guess it's his dream job to become a manager in England but it's rather sooner than later as he ends up at Liverpool.

    Papiss Cissé

Should have sold him during the pre-season...he'll be worth nothing at the end of the season in the current form! He does look like he doesn't give a shit!
  19. If there's anybody who could fix our defensive play it's Roy Hodgson! No player is allowed to roam from position and in our case Cisse and HBA would be the only players to go forward. Dead boring to watch but at least we'be able to collect some points away from home
  20. Not that difficult really because they never change the shirt design! Might actually buy one of those Vasco 3rd kits...brilliant!

    Papiss Cissé

If we can get 15million for Cisse then sell him. No doubt he can score some wonder goals but he's sort of too one dimensional player. I'd prefer a target man up front who can hold up the ball while the wide forwards arrives as the lone striker which seems to be Pardews way of playing. Kind of Carroll's style of a player...No player is bigger than the club as the saying goes!
  22. Why would Arsenal sell Cazorla? Personal terms agreed with Atletico http://www.championsleague.ca/2013/07/16/santi-cazorla-to-leave-arsenal-spaniard-agrees-personal-terms-with-atletico-madrid-report-63111-7464?
  23. Nice pass from Vuckic for the Gouffs 2nd goal. 90% of players would have tried to shoot instead of a pass there! How did Campbell do?
