  1. Jonas may or may not be a great guy, but I thoroughly dislike the way, in my eyes, he's getting away with doing the bare minimum on the pitch (which I realise may contradict the view that he's one of the hardest working players we've had in recent times given his tracking back). The issue imo is that he knows Pardew only sees the defensive side of the game, and hence that's all Jonas bothers to put effort into nowadays because he knows he can get away with doing virtually nothing for the team in an attacking sense.

    Alan Pardew

Were it not for Jose Boswinga, we'd have been relegated imo. I still can't believe that Pardew's "attacking" gameplan for beating a relegated QPR was to send Mike Williamson up front for all free kicks, including those in our own area. Plus an even bigger bucketload of Pardew's trademark hoofed percentage balls into the box. Shocking gameplan from a woeful manager that should have sent us down.
  3. Marveaux, Cabaye and Sissoko - I'd love to see us try that as a 3-man central midfield. And it's not "too attacking" before anyone says that - they're all intelligent and mobile enough to work out between them who pushes forward and who covers, so on top of there being be a good deal of attacking variety and unpredictability in there, I think they're all good enough to provide cover in terms of closing down/positioning themselves to make sure someone doesn't have a free run at the centreback. Plus, I'm getting sick of seeing the likes of Tiote, Jonas or Perch (or sometimes more than one of them) being played in central midfield by Pardew because they'll add more "protection" the back four, and then for the entire 90 minutes the opposition midfielders proceed to run into acres of space in front of the centrebacks with none of these "ball winners" anywhere near them.

What a train wreck of a manager Allardyce was

    INCE GET BACK.
  6. Reminds me a bit of us signing Kevin Gallagher (not comparing the actual players) - available at the right time for peanuts, works hard, does a decent job, neat little squad filler, but ultimately shouldn't really be in the first team every week if we have any real ambition.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Didn't know which thread I was in, didn't read the Youtube video name, so was wondering why someone had posted a video of a fat middle aged man losing the ball/running into trouble in a 5 aside game.
  8. Added to which Jonas is on a yellow...that he picked up when Walcott breezed past him.
  9. Wouldn't it be better to take Jonas off? MYM has had a cracking game at left back.
  10. Podolski = dives to mask the fact that he's pretty crap on the ball in general play.
  11. To be fair to him there was a shocking lack movement when he was on the ball.
  12. Mr Miyagi would fix that knee no problem.
  13. What's Pierluigi Collina doing with a Chelsea shirt on?
